Uh....I've never heard that description of "gold master" before and I've run development teams. Not GAME development, but development teams all the same. Has the lingo changed over the past couple of years to mean...this? Sounds to me more like they're describing a final candidate or even a test build. I mean, I get that you still find issues before release that may need patches or you might even find some improvements that can be made, but "gold master" usually meant you release the game code to manufacturing and stuff like that? I'm VERY confused. Or...is this just a BS explanation when in fact they just need more time (which is fine!)
It's a term used by products that ship to retailers.

Vast majority of software development doesn't use the term because it's specific to stuff like games and Windows and Office at this point.

Many missed this in the reveal trailer. In real life the inside plates of the PS5's labia are patterned with the symbols

gold , gold master mean the same thing. Usually right after going gold devs start working on the day one patch, being that they extended this time could be very good news. Im hoping they'll add the next gen upgrades. fingers crossed.
Right! Ok...so it means the same thing it's always meant... Their explanation on this is just....weird.

Thanks!

At this point, Sony just needs to send a PS5 to the hottest journalist in the World to expertly unbox and demonstrate how to install a SSD - Borat. “You grab it by the labia and pull them apart to get inside and install your solid disk drive. Great success!”

Yesterday Ubisoft posted a text about next-gen performance in their games.

The text mentioned Xbox Series X versions as "4k at 60fps" and PS5 as "4k and 60fps".

Some people were confused about this difference. And now Ubisoft updated the text to "4k at 60fps" in both consoles.

Someone needs to update those 2 threads.

I live in a small village with private security and a golf course. By the good words of a dear Brit friend, I am the epitome of posh. But you see, I have 2 cats, they need space :messenger_tears_of_joy:

So you dont have to worry if someone can detect your PS5 from outside like that dude on another thread :messenger_savoring: guards just beat the bad console thiefs.

Sounds weird to hear about these places that need private security forces and fences, here even "bad neighbourhoods" are so safe that you can walk alone at midnight with not much of a fear of filthy PS5 thiefs:messenger_beaming:
