Where is that?

I remember going across town to see the PS4 at a Sony store back in 2013 just a few weeks before it's release.

It just occurred to me how nice it would be if Sony had opted for an external drive that was included in the package for the disc version and that doubled as a stand!

Then as a Digital Edition owner you could have bought a drive at some point if you wanted and the PS5 would always be so beautifully graceful like the DE-PS5!^^

Remember talking about the XSX overheating and I had said it may be people putting them into tight and or enclosed spaces and not allowed to breathe?

Then some people here laughed saying no no these people know how and where to store these consoles?

The console will probably be perfectly fine in that setup though.

The Japanese tech company pre-sold as many PS5 consoles in the first 12 hours in the United States as in the first 12 weeks for its predecessor PlayStation 4 device, Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said in an interview.

PS4 went live for pre-order after E3 2013 so the quiet summer months where nobody felt compelled to grab one ASAP. This time has been very different with the pent up nerdgasm and scalper bots.

Still far more demand for sure, though. I hope most everyone thinks there won't be any in stores around launch so I can easily pick one up!

I guess Germany, as some of the texts are in German
I can not get more informations out of the image except it seems to be a larger electronic discounter...

Most of the intake vents are in the front, unobstructed, and not next to anything hot. The sides of the device being tightly enclosed really don't matter much. The back seems to have a rather large cutout too so there is nothing really for the fans to "Work against", and while the back will be warm, and likely warmer than if it was in the open air, the fans are still pushing that air away from components and pulling in relatively cool air.

Being out in the open next to the TV in a room with a higher ambient would be worse.

If it's improper to put a game console in a piece of entertainment stand furniture.. the console is flawed IMO. People using stuff like totally enclosed cabinents with doors, and tiny holes cut out the back for 2 cables are the ones using the device improperly IMO.

This is of course a joke, but it kinda does highlight how American centric XBox’s communications are...
I've had users of our app chew us out in earlier revisions of our apps, because of the date format. I didn't know it was such a big deal, until I moved to Asia. Some people are offended at the very idea of the American date format. Now we go with the universal format of DD-MMM-YYYY. No one should confuse that.

It just dawned on me....

There's a strong possibility that many Gamepass games will follow a 'f2p' model and they will monetize the shit out of them. It's actual genius if you think about it. Get paid for a f2p game ( via subscriptions ) and still get f2p microtransaction sales for the developer.

Fortnite and to some extent GTA V have shattered the mold on how to generate 'continued gaming revenue'. I wonder how long it takes Sony to dabble with in-game microtransactions. Even games like Destiny are following this model somewhat.

Someone mentioned LOD earlier and I think that's what's causing it because in the other clip that I saw the shadow came in at around the same distance.

It would be interesting to see a comparison between the modes for the LOD.

I noticed you mentioned Halo Infinite but the LOD was horrendous in that game compared to this one. Probably because the build was poorly designed at the time they they've showed it.
I didn't mention Infinite to compare, this looks a million times better than Infinite 😅

No kidding. Not sure what kind of app but usually there are modules you can use, or exposed native methods that can localize a time string.

Time is one of the most annoying things to deal with in applications imo.

😂 I know what you mean. I work for an American company that trades worldwide. EVERYBODY hates the US time format across the planet. It’s weird that more Americans don’t realise how backassward it is.

Not joking, and I might be missing something, but was that pop-in around 10sec, in the distance, same street he is swinging in but much farther up the road? From the moment he's on his peak and starts going down again, then in the distance.

It looks similar to what DF pointed out in their video , SSR(?), there is no reason to use RT on something that far out, I dont think it has anything to do with the ssd.

Its just from how we talk. We don't say the "12th of November" (too formal) we just say "November 12th". So I think people just put the month first in number format too (11/12 not 12/11) based on how they talk.

But I get why many hate it. And I'm an American who prefers Celsius and the metric system (because they are just better.)

I don't understand the packaging of the PS5 at all. I know it doesn't matter that much, but for a company that feels their system is premium, really next-gen, with new experiences, they could've put a decent amount of time in that packaging. This doesn't have a premium feel at all, which is where they should be going for.

With Cyberpunk delayed I think I'm just going to get the PS5 so I have something to look forward to. I already have my pre-order secure but was comitting myself to PC but it's going to cost more to upgrade my rig. Also I think Japanese developers are going to prioritize Switch and PS5. And I prefer Japanese games.

What if they’ve reduced packaging because of the environmental impact?
