Some features are cool no doubt but its all very lacklustre, it doesnt scream next gen and neither does the xb ui, meh.
It’s weird to think of a From game, and everything they’re known for, as having guides built inThis catalogue can be spoiler, so its up to the dev. Is on the video.
I don't see the problem, unless you can't disable. It’s weird to think of a From game, and everything they’re known for, as having guides built in
That was revealed during the PS5 reveal I'm pretty sure.Looks like the leak was true. I remember seeing that load up animation with the dark background a good week or two ago somewhere.
With the dark background it has an Xbox vibe to it.
It was? Must have missed that part. That was revealed during the PS5 reveal I'm pretty sure.
Since they are global, you have the chance to quickly jump from game to game depending on activities you choose.Looks fine! But all those "activities" things... Couldn't those be inside the game and not on the console ui? Could be kind of immersion breaking.
Aside from that the ui looks nice and clean.

Maybe it's a bad presentation and just the wrong place to start.
Its a really cool feature but next gen? nahSo the picture-in-picture wasn't next-gen to you?

You'll be able to jump to the basic home screen if you don't care about any of that stuff.I don't really like it. Seems too busy.
I actually quite liked the PS4 interface.
Is that that much different than XBOX Snap Apps?So the picture-in-picture wasn't next-gen to you?
the idea is the same but execution is very different, in Sonys favour obvsIs that that much different than XBOX Snap Apps?
Weird != problem. It's weird to imagine because their history and rise to popularity is centred around not knowing everything and communities figuring things out together, hence the messages players can leave and summoning.I don't see the problem, unless you can't disable.
For those who whining about 'too much hard' will be fine. For me I'll disable right alway.
Not real sold on it. I don't like the idea of it being a menu within a menu but really that ties to the game last played so quick resume into a game is great. It seems like it would be a bit of a pain to switch games though. The fast load times should mitigate that though right? I worry that those cards will make it seem like everything is a mini game too but I really doubt that will happen.
I'll rewatch I guess to see what I missed.
Also, did I catch them saying the game tips are tucked behind a ps+ pay wall?
No Quick Resume feature?
To be fair, I used to snap videos while playing on my OG X1 to watch football while gaming. It is a good idea and better implemented, I just don't think people are going to get super excited for pip. I've been wrong many times thoughSo the picture-in-picture wasn't next-gen to you?
The key is having it integrated at the OS level from launch. These should just be calls made by the OS to game/live data. Giving it universal support should hopefully allow it to be widely supported.PiP isn't that amazing, it looks like it pops a borderless window - GT:S has somethign similar when you watch tutorials before loading into the race/challenge. The streaming a friend while playing is pretty cool though.
None of the games were closed, When he set the PS5 to rest mode, you didn't see a message that the PS5 had to close one more game.
So it looks like the PS5 has "quick resume".
This. I feel like they focused too much on making the interface looks good versus usability.Really like it but I wish the game tiles were a hit bigger
Anyone know if the PS5 UI runs in HDR and 120fps? Serious question.
Eurogamer article suggest the UI is in 4K HDR, so the UI should be HDR if enabledI would just assume 4K 60 unless otherwise told. Every PS4 in existence supports HDR, but they output the UI in SDR.
That was within the same game. It looks like PS5 doesn't have Quck Resume feature. I didn't see the dev switching games from where you left off.
