This change is not good. Original is Spiderman the Remaster is is spider boy. No way I believe that remaster spider boy taught miles.
Miles looks older than remaster peter ffs. When I think of miles listening to advice in trailer 1. I don't picture Spiderboy remaster giving the advice.

Original looks like he's going through life. Remaster looks like a rich kid with no worry. Peter was struggling for bills you can see it in his face and just looks older. Remaster here going to ask daddy to bail him out when funds are low.

Miles & Remaster are going to look like fucking teen spider boys. This is Andrew Garfield too cool to be Peter P all over again. Sony had to Sony spiderman game got damn!!

Just look at great nothingness in his nostrils, just black textures of emptiness, his mouth is also the same, look beyond the weird and badly designed teeth that do not close properly, instead make collisions mistakes on each other, and you will again see black texture of nothingness. And no it has nothing to do with dramatic lighting or lack thereof, there is plenty of light coming from the right from his top and front to light his face and show details, so if textures on his face are missing, they are truly missing.

I think dynamic resolution is always better imo. Think of it as instead of "frame drops" theres "resolution drops" and at 1800p-2160p you wont even be able to tell the difference. but if frame drops below 30 happen you absolutely can see it.

Why? Insomniac never said it would be. They only said it would be 4k60. It was expected to be stripped-down from the enhanced mode. I don't know anyone who predicted the same as enhanced mode, but lower resolution. That would suggest the enhanced mode would run at 8k, which hasn't been claimed. Your expectations are not inline with what was already stated by the developers. Most of us expected effects to be removed, not just a resolution change.

I thought It was Just a matter of lowing resolution as native 4k is also Very Power consuming.

Ehh I don't know. Looking back at the PS5 Wired articles... The games they showed that writer were Astro's Playroom (launch) and Spider-Man (launch). They also showed Gran Turismo and had an interview with Bluepoint (Demon's Souls, launch).

I think the plan was for it to be a launch game. Maybe covid delayed it. I think its almost done. We've seen plenty of it so far.

A leak earlier this year (in May I think) from a sim racing accessory maker listed it as 2020 alongside 3 other 2020 racing games, and they even leaked the logo and name before the game was announced.

GT7 can launch whenever because they can just patch amd add content over the years, same at they did with GT Sport. But it is usually a fall release. I could see them rushing it out in December, or as late as Oct 2021.

Polyphony got a lot of shit for how long GT5 took (rightfully so) but they made GT6 in 3 years, also on PS3. Then they tried to make GT7 in 3 years but it took 4 years. They said it took time to get used to PS4 from PS3. Polyphony said the PS3 was hard to dev for and took ages, but they said the PS4 is much easier. We know PS5 is same.

I think with how Cerny said they wanted devs to get games running ASAP on PS5, and how easy devs say it is developing for PS5, the target for GT7 would be fall 2020. Maybe it'll end up missing this year and launch in the spring. Idk.

can confirm no RT reflections on performance mode. I would've expected some of them to be present as its upscaled 4K, but i guess RT doesn't scale as well with high framerates as i thought.

Edit: i still expect MM's performance mode to do better though, that's a game built for PS5 from the beginning vs one that's being retrofitted with extra features.

£70 price of games.

Probably some other stuff I've forgotten about ...

I remember in the early PS3 days how Sony came across as expecting we'd all just buy it without complaint, owing to the success of the PS2. I feel the PS5 gen is going to be the same, at least to begin with.

I don’t really understand the “arrogant Sony” complaints. I know when ps3 came out they said a few things they came across as arrogant. But they are a business the same as Microsoft and they try to maximize profits. If any company looks like it’s giving away something for free it’s not really. If they were to give away ps plus for free for a month it would be only to tie you into the ecosystem to make profit in the long run.

All companies make good and bad decisions to make profits. But anytime Sony does a profit making move its arrogance. Well each company wants to make profits. They would all love us to believe they are charitable. Do you believe a Facebook gives you a free account because they love you?

The only sign of "arrogance" really is the price increase in games. I assume Sony simply decided it's not worth going in a price war with Microsoft, since the entire Xbox model is veering towards Game Pass.

Everything else is just par for the course. Some exclusives are cross-play, since PS4 still has over 100 million users and for a year PS5s will be hard to come by; it makes sense to not leave everyone behind all of a sudden, and again, it's just 3 games out of a lot of high-profile exclusives coming in the next year. Free upgrades for a lot of games have already been announced, Spider-Man is really the only exception, and I think it's more of a ploy to help selling Miles Morales on PS5 than anything else. Insomniac re-modelling Peter Parker is extra work they went out of their way to do, regardless of your or other people's opinion it's definitely not cutting corners or anything an "arrogant" company would do.

What I would be really scared to see is microtransactions (or god forbid lootboxes) more heavily pushed in first or second party Sony games. They have been inching and trying with Gran Turismo and Little Big Planet already, but if they begin to normalize it more across several titles, that would be a bad sign of things to come.

I think your view of Spiden-man super hero is a bit confusing because the face he has in the first game never looked like him.

Peter Parker story start at 15 years old, graduate college at 17-18, when his girlfriend dies he has 19-20, when the clone saga ends he has 22.

The game events happens when he is 23 years old.

How can you be so sure that they are all from 60fps mode?

My frudtration is that we have learned the sacrifice needs to be made for stable 60fps is cutting pixels down and thats it, not turnning down effects
