That is just cinematic version, you obviously haven't looked at/seen the gameplay portion in the gameplay video or the screen caps they shared and you willfully ignore, so... ??

I did, the 60FPS looks the same as the PS4 version, just runs faster. And there are two reasoning for this - firstly, the original SM already looks fantastic, there's hardly anything that could've been done better, other than truly remastering the game from the ground up for new hardware like CoD4 or Demon Souls, remodeling not just Peter's face but every single model and every texture in the game. And secondly, Miles Morales doesn't look that much better than the PS4 title to begin with, it's basically the same game except in native 4K instead of 1440p + lot of particles + RT reflections. From a PC guy's perspective the difference is basically RTX on vs RTX off, nothing more.

People focus on reflections to easily demonstrate it, but it's light, shadows and sound as well, it is important. I do agree that reflections are not "mind blowing" but try to focus more on the shadows and how light bounces off of objects in the Spider-man comparisons.
Light bounces are the most important thing with RT for me. Control and Metro shows how big impact on indoor enviroments have "real-like" light-rays. They are giving depth to every single smallest object. It is super fun when you see it you don't think it looks somehow great but when you turn them off everything looks super-fat but you just did not notice it earlier. But I don't think every game needs them...

CoD4 Remaster is just a basic upres remaster. I like it, played it, but don't compare it to Demon's Souls.

That's one hell of a lazy-ass remaster, if you can even call it like that - other than slight color tone change there's virtually zero difference between the two, I guess all the fuss with new face was exactly to distract people from the lack of any changes/improvements in the remaster. But hey, Sony did many "remasters" in the early PS4 days where the only difference between PS3 versions was just higher resolution and/or framerate, nothing else, and they even charged 40$ for it, but I thought those times were over, guess I was wrong. I still don't see a single reason why there won't be a free native 4K 60FPS patch for the PS5, that's all what most people really need/want.

You said there's virtually zero difference in Spider-Man remastered. Look again.
 
Am I the only one who really does not give a crap about RT? I mean those reflections are cool but when you will be playing the game you will barely notice them and on top of that RT is expensive performance-wise as fuck. Maybe at night they will make bigger overall impact on visual clarity.

If PS5/XSX does not have some super-good RT solutions that will be less GPU-intensive I don't think the performance hit is worth for the visual gain. I mean RT is the next step for fotorealism but as for now I am not sure if next-gen consoles are able to pull them off. There is a reason why 4k RT Minecraft runs on 3080 at 30 FPS

as an RTX20xx card owner, i can share with you my thoughts on RT. Can I play without RT? absolutely, the graphics still look awesome because devs are employing all the technics to trick our minds. but given both running at an acceptable framerate, I would always choose RT even if it means 40% framerate difference. With RT, it is simply more immersive. Sony is big on immersion in their nextgen narrative. I expect we see a lot RT in Sony titles.

I'm taking them letting #TLOUday pass without properly mentioning it, that it's gonna be like next summer as part of a TLOU2 PS5 Remaster

Let's not focus on this though. Let's instead focus on the fact that Spiderman remastered missed some leaves in the BVH! That is the true crime, never mind that it looks Miles better than Halo Infinite. We need to focus on the smallest details.

Do Halo fans like the cartoony vibe they were giving off on Infinite? IMO it seemed over the top.

What would a Bethesda inspired Halo look like? I would be extremely interested if Halo went the Destiny route. RPG elements, strikes and raids ( end-game PvE )

Would a Halo Battle Royale work? IMO TDM is slowing down. It's not enticing the new/younger generations.

Only one issue. The one on the left still has superior IQ but since you have a better shot, let's compare the best shot you have to the best shot I have. Better hair rendering, better IQ, better skin rendering, the clothes look more realistic too.

CoD4 Remaster is just a basic upres remaster. I like it, played it, but don't compare it to Demon's Souls.


If you don't see any difference other than resolution between CoD4 and its remaster, but at the same time you think SM remaster is oh so difficult then thePS4 version, then I really speechless...

It feels a bit like one of those gamelike-but-not-from-an-actual-game 3D characters that GPU ads used back in the mid 2000s. It's "detailed" in and of itself, but in some parts the technology itself feels really old.

The teeth in particular are fucking atrocious. They are literally a single solid color with the specular value turned to max. No texture, no normal map, not even a basic specular map to break the reflection and give a semblance of wear and irregularity. They look like a billiard ball with wax on. It's the way reflective surfaces were handled in low budget CGI from the 90s.
