Apple allows streaming games on iOS, but there’s a catch [Updated]
New guidelines also allow for "standalone companion apps" like hey.com email.

Buy rockstar and call it a day
I know this is a semi joke but we all know Amazon has it's own MS-rivalling war chest, it's just a question of time before these publishers and devs get hoovered up by the American mega companies.
I think they mentioned it’s through a web browser?I have a question, how is this service okay for iOS for Apple to allow yet Microsoft isn’t allowed to do that? Am I missing something?
If you want a streaming future, this is what it will look like... 10 different services, with all your content and favorite publishers cut up into each one and you'll need to sub to every one of them.
Console is the good future.
not included in prime? nah youre ok amazon.

This is why Microsoft bought Bethesda. Not to pwn Sony but to make sure that Amazon/Stadia gamepass thing didn’t make the acquisition.
Microsoft has a huge head start here and google has blown any goodwill they had, but we’re maybe seeing one potential future of gaming.
Personally, I like the way things were last gen with still lots of AAA games that are entirely single player and free of microtransactions. I’ll vote with my wallet for that.
It's almost surely a factor. Tencent has been shopping around too. It's a race.Wow. You think?
Amazon probably have more cash than Microsoft to throw about. Covid has been very good to Lord Bezos.

If they all fight about streaming, Sony should stay in consoles and stay out of it and get content from everyone.Yep, Google is in there, and they won't go away, and now Amazon. MS's rosy Gamepass future is starting to look more precarious.

Don’t know about Tencent, but Amazon have been planning a full scale entry into gaming for a while now.
Thanks for letting me knowApple doesn't allow this. Amazon uses a webapp to launch into their own web interface. You are basically playing their games through Safari lol. This adds additional input lag. It's like streaming a game through youtube which is why MS hasn't attempted this.
I'm sure it'll succeed just like the other 28042 streaming services did.
Wait.
There was a rumor about them buying someone recently. Someone big.Sony would have caught onto the rumblings and knew they had to consolidate their position. Nothing they’re doing currently surprises me.
What Stadia should of done from the start, then maybe it would of had a chance.

??
Maybe next gen is all streaming and no consoles. Everyone get ready for the Streaming wars!
Google literally couldn't have failed harder. Let's stop fear mongeringthose of you who complained about MS buying bethesda, this is why MS bought them. to gain a stronger presence because of amazon and google.
I'm not that optimistic after they raised prices to $70. I think that's going to really make lots of people pause.Interesting, but it’s painfully obvious that all these companies are pushing for streaming so hard because they don’t want us to own and have control of our games anymore. I don’t think and REALLY hope streaming won’t replace standard gaming anytime soon, but the future does look perturbingly dark for the industry especially if next generation becomes the last traditional console generation.
Amazon is much more of a threat, because they can just bundle it in with Twitch and Prime. No one really used Prime video for years, but it just slowly hung around and stayed reliable and easy to access.Google literally couldn't have failed harder. Let's stop fear mongering
There's a reason MS have barely mentioned cloud gaming, and its because they know it sucks especially right now

LTTP
Does search function work anymore? Do people even use it?!
