Something is not right with this new launch.
How the heck are we less than 2 months away from having that new video game at home but we still didn't see a real one? Why are we only seeing renders this late in the game? For half a year Sony tells us that "what you are seeing was captured from real hardware" but where is this "real" hardware actually playing the game? Where? So far we only have seen the new controller.

Not only that, the software also.
What about the new SO? What changed, what is new?
Why Sony isn't showing us anything at all?

Dude, just relax. They were too busy showing important stuff like FFXVI, Spiderman Miles Morales, REVIII, DMCVSE, Harry Potter, CoD, Demon's Souls, GoW2 and more, and a gazillion PS4 great games to be included in the PS5 PS+ in addition to price and date.

Make sure they will make other videos before the release, and pretty sure one of them will be an OS showcase and hardware teardown. We know games will load in under 2 seconds, that its hardware has been designed around having a great cooling system that will avoid jet engine fan noise in specific situations and games, that basically all PS4 games will be BC and we some some cool patents related to the Create buttons, and both patents and Sony guys mentioning you won't need to install the entire game but only the part you are interested in, or that you'll be able to boot the game directly to a certain stage or game mode skipping logo screens and menu screens. It will be fine.

Honestly, this with the yield issues we read about, i really believe the ps5 is coming in really really hot and thats why we havent seen more of it. I think the rumors are true, it was supposed to come out last year and they did a big redesign on it.

Personally, that and the fact that i can play spiderman on ps4 makes me wanna wait till next year just to be on the safe side.

We really haven't seen shit of the real PS5 hardware or its UI so far, while we had complete break downs by 3rd partys of the XSEX half a year ago. And this thing is supposed to launch in 1 1/2 half months.

Have we ever had this in earlier launches of new consoles?

While I don't think there are any smoke and mirrors, I have to agree at being confused by this event at this stage in the game.
This was just a better version of their last event.
It was mentioned on the AJS and I agree, have someone actually demoing the console.
Show them boot it up, let me see the UI.
Let me see what happens when I put a PS4 disc in, and a PS5 disc.
Let me actually see the load times improvements with an actual PS5 running.
I am not interested in another sizzle reel.

The game im looking most forward to is Destruction All Stars. That all I do in Rocket League anyway. Destroy cars.

The only impressive game I have seen for PS5 launch window is Demon Souls remake/remaster, maybe Call of Duty Black Ops and Ratchet and Clank.

But the truth is the games shown so far aren't THAT impressive, it doesn't appear to be a huge jump from PS4.

There's really NOTHING coming out in 2020 that warrants waiting in line for a PS5 other than the fact to just impulse buy.

I really really really struggle to believe that. It worked on current gen consoles but then they decided to ditch current gen to take advantage of the SSD tech and then they just threw a billion effects at it and it's struggling big time and causing issues on PS5? So they just went way beyond what it could handle and never tested it incrementally? I didn't know Capcom had no game development experience.
