Only in North America. The PlayStation released Dec. 3, 1994 and celebrated their 25th anniversary last year. If they wanted to dominate the news cycle, they could.

Idk to me this just seems like it was planned. A leak garners more hype and engagement than a show floor these days especially now that there is no E3. Everything is about social media buzz and making a splash, this also goes along perfectly with the info release of EA Play, which they didn't need to announce now if they planned for this info to be official released next.

And now they are hyping up even more things to come out of nowhere. If anything this info should have been hyped a week before the release of this info, because it seems quite a substantial information drop, most likely the biggest we will get till the release of the consoles.

I think hyping anything up is a mistake these days. It is better to release the info with no notice and let the internet digest it without preconceived expectations. I think Microsoft always had something planned this week but part of their reveal was leaked early (XSS, price, release date, etc). That would explain why they had announcements for this week in hand when the leak happened.

With that said, I would not be surprised in the slightest if this was a controlled leak. If it was, then Kudos to Xbox for getting creative with their marketing.

Tactic is launching Nov 10, Call of the seas soon after, Crossfire X, Halo Sometime next year, Bright Memory and STALKER soon to follow... they will be okay.. no major hitters till 2021 and from there it should be a snowball effect with Forza, Fable, Avowed, Hellblade, and Rumored Perfect Dark

Tactics: ok, but not for everyone
Call of Seas: smaller title
Crossfire X: looks good, but not a big title
Halo: ok, but needs a lot of work; prob late 2021
Bright Memory: looks good, but smaller title that's already out on pc
Stalker 2: sounds amazing, but they showed a bullshot trailer and is at best a 2022 game
Forza & Fable: bullshot trailers with no release window
Perfect Dark is unfortunately just a rumor, but would be cool
Avowed: a dark and short gameplay trailer looked ok, but is not enough to get hyped for

Hellblade II needed to be shown but they had nothing. This is the game that looks amazing and we need to see gameplay for.

They keep promising "the best lineup ever," but they always let down. All of their shows this year have been atrocious and insulting. I honestly don't have faith in them anymore, especially after what they pushed this past gen. They consistently miss the entire point of what gamers want: great AAA exclusives that we can look forward to. I want a reason to buy a Series X, but MS continue to insist that the only value is to play legacy titles at 4k 60fps and third parties may or may not look a little better... AND GAMEPASS!

It's just so damn disappointing to me, especially after the Xbox glory years from 2001 to 2009 where they had so many classic games. I remember being hyped out of my mind back in 2005/06 for the 360 because of Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Splinter Cell Conviction, Kameo, Call of Duty 2, Perfect Dark, Viva Pinata, Banjo Kazooie, and potentially another KotOR game! Where the hell did THAT MS go...? I just seriously depressed myself writing that and really miss the Xbox of the 2000s. /end rant

There might be some truth to that, but I would not go as far as say that MS got anything yet.

One thing is for certain and undeniable their strategy is significantly better that Sony's and its not even close. When you look at the complete approach and vision from Xbox you can clearly see what their objective was and they executed it to perfection. They nailed the friendly pro-consumer narrative from the Series S price point, back compatibility, GamePass Ultimate with Xcloud and EA Play, and even to something like financing packages that are simply unmatched while still offering also the most powerful console for the Ultimate gaming experience.

Sony simply went with the traditional approach, which they have been extremely successful with, but maybe this time around a more daring and innovative approach was neccessary.

Also considering NA is one of the key markets Sony want to focus early adoption growth for PS5 in, have to say even I was surprised they simply didn't do or say anything yesterday. I figure they'd want to celebrate PS's 25th anniversary in NA region.

This is what I don't understand about forums like these. I guess if your a budget minded person, then yes Xbox has got you covered for gaming on a conscious budget in uncertain employment times.

What they dont have is compelling software, even with obscure stuff like Wasteland 3 that for PC players is a great title, but for console players is something that is very niche in it's audience.

It really does feel like they bet everyone on Halo in terms of their big killer app.

If that Amazon posting is true then PS5 launch going to be insane.
