So what do you do after finishing the main campaign? Play the same missions with higher difficulty to get gear/currency? Are there specific events you unlock after beating the game?
I tried to Google that but "Marvel's Avengers endgame" doesn't work since there is a movie called Endgame

Unlock a new mission chain. The SHIELD faction and global events in MP.

Then there’s the free post launch DLC that ads SP levels with each new character.

LIRIK beat the campaign earlier today, seemed alright. I don't really know if he cares to play anymore though, he said the combat was the best part in his opinion, that it had his moments. Favorite characters were Captain America, Hulk, and Black Widow.

While I disagreed with what Karak said about Project Cars 3, watching this Avengers review in progress in surreal.
I literally agree with every single statement he made. Every single one.
The weird animations for basic stuff, the bad level design, etc.

I am very on the fence as to whether to buy this game.

When I played the beta, despite enjoying the combat quite a bit, the level design felt so basic and the war zones were so repetitive and seemed like a level designer just copied and pasted the same 5 or so scenarios in the same 5-10 environments.

However I did enjoy the solely single player missions, despite them being quite a one way affair there was something enjoyable about them.

So now I am seeing a lot of people gush about the game I am wondering whether it would be worth the £45 purchase. My main concerns are in the campaign, it's length, the multiplayer connectivity as was quite broken in the beta, the side missions and as to whether they are still repetitive, and finally whether the performance on the PS4 Slim has been improved upon since the beta.

Any help/honest opinion would be much appreciated!

Proof again that the game was designed with PC in mind. High res textures are critical to an overall look to a game along with lighting and shading. You do NOT go backwards with textures. You don't make 2k textures for the console and then decide later to make 4k textures for the PC. That's too much work. Better to make high res textures that can't run on consoles and downsample them to the console.

It can have some nextgen features but overall doesn't look better than any big exclusive or third party game in the last years, maybe it's an art design thing, it all looks so dull to me.

Maybe on pc direct feed on my oled the situation can change but it really never happened with other games where the yt footage was nothing special.

Now I know why they hid it. The textures are too large and the bandwidth is taxed on a 2080Ti @4k/30FPS with these shaders! Hitting framedrops of 22FPS with close up faces or big action around in cinematics! The GPU can't keep up! I'm convinced that this is for 3000-series cards! Next-gen game #2

The PC version has features that look really good (SSS, hair shading, excellent PBR materials, and shadow casting destruction). A lot of games on PC have next-gen tech already from last year. Hulk looks incredible and Bruce Banner looks amazing in cinematics (but most cinematics look good anyway). Square has come a long way with hair shading. Btw, I troubleshot why I was getting framerate hiccups. Seems to have gone.

No the ultra textures are available no matter what the resolution you pick.

Got around to watching the Jimpressions of the game, while he takes it to an extreme can’t really disagree with him much. Game is buggy (had the trapped In menu thing happen a few times already), the gaas stuff seems needlessly tacked on. Could have just been a good co op super hero beat em up but added all the gear and power lvls just to be there.

Personally still have a lot of fun but if it wasn’t a GaaS game I’d prob like it more. Anthem felt more like a complete GaaS then this, this feels like it was a co op beat em up that had the gaas stuff added about 2/3 way thru development. Hell I haven’t even got a single online match to work and the kicker is doesn’t even matter.

I would definitely go PC to make the most out of this game but on the fence, how's the stability on PC as far as crashing and network connectivity to others if that's even available yet.

I switched from Xbox’s to the pc with a 2080 and for the most part it’s better.

only thing that I had to deal with is my Xbox controller wouldn’t work unless I turned off some steam force controller option.

So I’m almost threw the campaign as I have had to work 12 hour days during this early access which sucks. And I finally got to play a mission with my brother and I have to say it was a blast.

One thing I noticed is I got a artifact and when you level it up 2 times it gives you a ability to hit both thimbsticks and gives you a damage bonus. I hope there are multiple skills they have for artifacts like defense or maybe a hero skill charge.

One thing this game does a very good job at doing is have you play as all the characters.....I almost feel like I’m going to have 4 mains which gives you a endless amount of play styles.

We are talking MANY level designs with 3-6 minute missions with 1 tunnel to 1 room. Many. Thats not an outlier

As with any other game, if you really feel torn I’d say just wait it out For a price drop, if nothing else convinces you.

Personally i have found it worth the money, but that’s me.

Some missions it feels like his armor is just a bunch of taped together baking sheets you would purchase at the Dollar store. He just goes down so fast even when it feels like you are countering and avoiding everything.

This is where I'm at, I'm sticking to the story stuff and the Hero focused missions (3 or 4 deep and after the 1st its just do random task over and over, dunno if I will ever get the hulk skin lol). When you get the same switch locations in the same bunker setting with in 2-3 missions of each other I just gotta roll my eyes.

Yeah it was pretty ridiculous. Sad thing is even when we start getting classic costumes they're going to be censored on the women and they'll look awful on the men who arent rocking the larger than life physiques that make theirs work.

The thing that bothers me the most about this is that if you can't respect a woman because she wears a leotard then you don't respect women.
But for some reason they think that they're being progressive for literally putting modesty shorts on a woman retroactively lol...

Just beat the story. Feels a bit sloppy at times, especially when it comes to scene transitions. Like when the Avengers split up again in the helicarrier and Tony & Hulk fight for a bit, LITERALLY 2 minutes later the entire helicarrier is abandoned and Kamala makes references to everyone packing up and leaving. Like, in the span of 2 minutes?? Also, I still don't get how or why a Reddit post had a link to Tony Stark's login page on AIM, but whatever.
Stuff like that is distracting but overall it doesn't really detract from the experience. Like the MCU movies, you just have to suspend disbelief every once in a while and don't question it lol
As for gameplay, the combat is really fun especially once you start unlocking and upgrading more moves. For instance, upgraded Cap is fun as hell to play as. Faster shield throw speed + lock-on shield + follow-up kick to shield to launch it again = a whole lot of shield bouncing off of sucker's heads, and it's very gratifying.
Haven't delved into the MP/Avengers Initiative stuff yet so I can't say much about it, but it does seem promising. Not sure how much I'll be grinding it but we shall see.

So yeah, overall it's an enjoyable Avengers story, and the best Avengers videogame to date.

all the loot does so far is slow down the game by making you go into menus and hold r2. It’s replaced every mission at least 3 times easy.

The same reason they played war frame over and over......build a character and see how bad ass you can make them.

like I said....end game loot and what you need to build for the first major raid will be what makes it breaks this game.

There are a bunch of story sections that can only be played single player. Harm training and other sections are multiplayer. They specifically say multiplayer when you click on them. Once you finish the campaign it’s basically all multiplayer (or with bots.)

Looks like tonight is one of those "We'll download this very slow" nights.

I keep having to pause and start the download to basically jump start the speed, which makes it go faster for a little bit and 3 hours turns into 28 minutes remaining, but then it slows down again. Does anyone else have that problem with PSN?
