There are no leaks as far as I know, but the multiplayer reveal for COD is supposed to happen on September 9...

Its all speculations. Heisenberg posted we should be getting a show in under 2 weeks, Sept 9 is 11 days away.
Ive heard it a couple times though. Also we got pre order emails. I just personally think its coming because of little pieces of information coming in here and there.

I don’t understand this argument for either MS or Sony.
If either of them had something big to show they’d have shown it - Sony had a ton of viewers at it’s reveal event, so there’s no way they’d have left some major content on the shelf if it was ready to show.
Xbox is a gamescom partner this year but as far as anyone knows they have no plans to show anything. I guess they thought they’d be hyping Halo there, but clearly that’s not gonna happen. Sony aren’t a gamescom partner but were able to show R&C looking great and announced as launch window for release. Wouldn’t surprise me if Sony filled in last minute for Halo going AWOL.
MS publically dropped a bollock showing Halo in July, and couldn’t show anything else at their event. If they had it, it would have been shown.
What we’ve seen is what’s on offer and that’s true for both companies.
The reason those twitter guys are going crazy is because each day that goes by with no big news from Xbox is another day when the hype dwindles and clicks on their channels subside.
Right now MS is a black hole of information on Xsex because they haven’t settled on a new marketing message - how do you market a game console with no games and especially when what 3rd party games there are can’t be demo’d running on the thing?
Until MS answers that question there’ll be very little coming out about Xsex.

Alright, time to get this party started. it's been almost 3 fucking months since I was hyped for a show, and that ended up disappointing me. Here is what I want from PS5 reveal Part Deux
- 2 Hours. No need to cram 24 games in one hour. take your fucking time. that ratchet 7 minute demo shouldve been a thing instead of splitting it into 2 smaller chunks. Let the games breathe.
- Gameplay gameplay gameplay. again, all of a sudden ratchet is blowing people away despite showing almost the same thing. People want longer gameplay demos.
- No more trailers. Trailers suck. no one likes them. no one buys them as real gameplay. fuck trailers. fuck them in the ear.
- God of war 2 - its been over 2 years. lets go. thor vs kratos. flying. show me what the ssd can do.
- fuck native 4k. give me 1440p or 4kcb or give me death. i dont want 60 fps either. i buy PCs for 60 fps. give me consoles that focus on 30 fps.
- Silent Hills - never a big fan of the series, but after all this cockteasing, i sure hope its a masterpiece. the series was always very light on combat, i hope that changes.
- demon souls walkthrough - i want destruction, fast fluid combat animations, doesnt have to be sekiro, but you cannot have that janky 2009 demon souls combat.
- spiderman demo - destruction. brand new animations, this must feel like a new game with a whole new move set. i want them really pushing next gen visuals here.
- gran turismo - weather, destruction, ray tracing. gameplay.
- one more surprise. uncharted or whatever the hell that other team is working on. a small teaser is fine here.
- horizon. show me flying through the environment. let this be a ssd showpiece or showstopper.
you gotta show gameplay. you have to show what the cpu brings to next gen. you ahve to show that the ssd isnt just for ratchet gimmicks and fast loading.

Just found out insomniac announced 60fps support for Ratchet & Clank, this is fantastic. A 30/60fps toggle next gen will hopefully be almost as easy as cutting res in half, at least for games running at 4K w low cpu usage.
Now, if only it was as easy to get rid of the twitter mouthbreathers trying to twist these news into console war/PCMR bait...

I remember taking an SIE survey last year where they focused a few questions around resolution / fps and how important each was. Basically seemed like they were earnestly assessing the possibility to leave this as an optional thing for players.
I for one did pick fps over resolution, but answered that having the option was ideal.
Give me upscaled 4k/60 anyday above native 4k/30. Always and forever.

Well that annoying Jeff Grubb is saying there is a Series S reveal in September. That's a chance for them to change the narrative, maybe they'll have a games blowout then.

They need to find a way to make the PS5 look bad, first it was graphics, then they moved to resolutions, and now they're on frames per second. I've even seen some people claiming that PS5 has a performance mode because the console can't handle 4K and 60fps at the same time even though we have already seen games running at 4K/60. I can't even imagine what new things are they going to come up with if multiplats end up running identically on both platforms, I've already read some people saying things like: "marketing deals prevent games from looking better on the Series X", I don't know how they come up with things like that.

I don't know, I'm not entirely convinced. Sure, it's September already, this has to happen at some point anyway (especially price announcement to open preorders, for logistical reasons). But they waited so long just to go after Microsoft because they knew they could afford it better, and nothing really changed in that regard.
The only scenario where I see Sony announcing prices before Microsoft does is one where they are privately almost certain of how much Xbox is going to cost, or that Microsoft is planning a delay or something like that.
They are not going to gift Microsoft a free shot now, especially if Series S is not confirmed to be out of the picture for them in terms of price or release window.

Welp I guess this is the event where we finally get the PS5 release date and price? I would expect to also see trailers for Miles Morales and Demons Souls, maybe GT7 as well. I'm gonna hold out hope that we may also get either a teaser or proper trailer for the next God of War game as well, that has to be roughly a year or so out I would imagine. Maybe TLOU2 Factions also? I wonder if Silent Hill would be there. Then there's FF16, which has been rumored for a long while. I'd also love if they stick in a segment telling us about PS Plus and/or Now and how they will evolve into the next gen. Oooh and imagine if they also drop more news on their BC strategy, c'mon full BC with all prior gens!

As far as I can find online, the company he works at is some unknown web marketing firm that he either owns, directs or both, and that seems to be directed mostly at Italian buisnesses.
The gaming website he wrote for is also so small it's not even a blink on the radar as far as Italian gaming websites go, let alone internationally.
I too wrote for a small Italian gaming website for quite some time, we probably averaged better views than his going by the figures they themself give. With those metrics, we were still the low man on the totem pole when review copies had to be distributed, and we barely got invited to press events at all.
Even when that happens, for low-profile Italian media you often go through some local contact for the publisher, distributor (like Koch Media) or PR firm, you don't communicate directly with people who are anywhere near the central war room in US or Japan; so even if somebody there decides to commit career suicide and starts giving out tips to people with way too few contacts to hope you won't be found out, that is in and of itself second, third or more hand information too.
So yeah, unless he has a completely separate set of past careers he didn't link on Twitter and LinkedIn, I'm pretty confident he's just lying his ass off.

I cannot imagine an event like the June PS5 showcase with Jim Ryan telling the price to the camera.
Maybe I'll be wrong, but the big E3 style event of old many want seems impossible to do now that they can't have an in-person event with a crowd and stage.
If there is a September event, I wouldn't be shocked if its just a State of Play to show more games. Or they'll just put up the PS5 info on the PS Blog.

Most of the people are not able to difference RT reflection, SSR, planar reflection and cube maps but looks like
now all they are able to do it, good joke.
Not every change done is for performance, the problem of not understand the technologies is you start to
see downgrades in everything and to be honest is tired try to explain a person who never have the
intention to learn why not all the changes are downgrade.
Exists two basic kind of people who find downgrades in everything:
-Hater of that platform/game/studio/publisher
-Users with traumatic past where in specific cases they came to exist like Watch Dogs
