So what does this tell us regarding speculation?

I guess no main direct coming any time soon or this would be part of it.

So mini directs going forward or specific game directs.

This is due for release in 12 weeks.

Paper Mario was announced 9 weeks before release.

So if there is anything else it will be Q4 release probably. Most likely November or December.

Jooxed makes a very good point that this announcement was only to have something for investor tomorrow, and the real Directs will still come out next week and on September.

Can't say I enjoyed Pikmin 3 when I played it on Wii U so i'm likely gonna skip it this time around.

Normally I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it either but with Grubb, Harker and Zell backing it up it's pretty much a shoe in. Just unknown what type of presentation they are.. mini, partner full.. etc

Lego City? That one's been out since close to launch. Not bad as a scavenger hunt timewaster if you have a good book to listen to.

Personally I think Xenoblade Chronicles X and Fatal Frame 5 should get second chances more than any other. The former was an unfinished, rushed release that could benefit from a Definitive Edition and the latter was a cool horror game that suffered from a digital-only release and censorship.

I haven't played either so I'll trust you on this one. The character models kept me away from XCX, I know this is probably a stupid reason not to play a game but JFC they did a bad job on that front.

Reminded me of the PS2 era and yea, it wasn't *great*, but the focus on exploration and open-ended character skillsets were super fun. It even opened up more once you got your mech and basically added another 40+ hours into the game with new ways to customize, explore, and fight.

If they could tie the graphics more in-line with the XBCDE and XBC2, I think it would do a lot better too. Also maybe change "New LA" into something better, like "New Tokyo" or "New Diarrhea". Both are better than the shit hole that is LA.

If they did that I'd be there day one, the exploration does look fantastic.

It really says something when you're an active gaming company, and your fans don't believe you would actually announce a game, lol.

Wonderful news, though. Wonderful game. I am so in. The new side missions are an especially nice surprise.
