I played that one this summer. Loved it far more than hated - probably would've hated it with the original controls.
I love the franchise, great games for what they are and they still manage to be somewhat unique. Writing is entertaining as well. Death and Fury are fun characters. We just need a whole game just for Strife now.

I recently bought mxgp 19. I miss the Mx vs atv game’s and there hasn’t been a good one since reflex. MXGP 19 feels limited in terms of content by solely focusing on outdoor motor-cross races but holy crap the bike handling is amazing, really hope they expand on it one day as the core of the game is spot on!

God of War - I'm near the end. Not sure whether to do the side content required to get the high-spec armors, sound like a lot of tedious work.

I punched a fish tank. I've got one of those puzzle piece foam mats off Amazon now though. If I step off it I know not to swing wildly. There's a post like every other day on VR reddit forums from people putting up pictures of the damage they did playing Gorn.

Finished my first playthrough of Detroit Become Human and I was left speechless. The story was so fucking good I had a hard time putting down the controller. Markus, Kara and Connor had equally riveting storylines with lots of difficult choices to make. It was not a dull moment.
The graphics were incredible. Quantic Dream has always been a powerhouse when it comes to graphical fidelity but in Detroit they have really pushed themselves to raise the bar. Some scenes looked so good, almost real, and it contributed so much to the overall atmosphere and immersion.
Detroit is without a doubt David Cages magnum opus. He has perfected his gameplay formula and improved his storytelling abilities. He has delivered an interactive drama with poignant themes, interesting characters that you actually care about, cutting edge graphics and a message that stays with you even after credits have rolled.
I already look forward to my next playthrough.

Picked up Castlevania Anniversary Collection. Finished Super Castlevania 4 and Bloodlines. Both good games but I favor SNES-version more due to nostalgia and it's simply better. But Bloodlines was pretty good too. Kinda forgotten but it's nice of Konami to include it and make it available for a bigger audience.

One mission to go in Desperados 3 and sadly it's been a little underwhelming experience. I have quite a few issues with the game (mostly small-ish):
- I was hoping for more cool mission locations, like the bridge mission or the hacienda mission. Some levels have boring environments and there are areas you go back to in later missions so they're not all "fresh" maps.
- Maps are generally small. Doesn't mean that the missions are short, but the game should have bigger areas with enemies more spread out.
- I really dislike Isabelle's character. She's seriously op and doesn't fit in a western game with her supernatural powers.
- Mission difficulty varies quite a lot, I felt like the New Orleans missions were tougher than some of the later levels.
- The console controls can be quite terrible (I have a comparison with the beta I played on PC). Switching between available interactions is particularly annoying, especially since the game often suggests the "wrong" action as default.
As for the pleasant surprises:
- I really like using Showdown Mode and it works great.
- Playing this on hard difficulty is a fun and challenging experience.
- I will not get bored of Hector's character and his magical whistle + place trap combo.
- I like how there's more replayability than in Shadow Tactics. Most missions give you 2 options how to tackle one of the main objectives and the challenges (badges) are generally interesting. I know I'll spend more time with the game (but it's not going to be a platinum because of the speedrun requirements)

if no, i can't recommend it enough. however, vr needs to be eased into. start with games that have little to no movement and work your way up to NMS. if i started flying a ship around the first time i was in vr it would have been unpleasant. but once you get used to it all the uncomfortable feelings go away almost completely.
if yes on both questions, just understand that NMS on PSVR is blurry. like, really blurry. but you definitely get used to it, so dont let it turn you off. with that being said and considering the content fo your post, i need you to listen to me very closely... you. have. to. get. this. fucking. game.
that moment where im just chilling in my ship above a planet, with a moon floating around it, another large planet with rings in the distance, a space station on the my left and other ships coming in going... ive had that moment and its glorious. i remember at one point i took off from a planet, got in space, flipped upside down and looked up to see the planet floating above me, and it was that being in space holy shit gaming moment that ive wanted since i was a kid. it was glorious.
also, it really really helps that this is basically my first time playing NMS. had i played it on a flat screen with no blurriness and all its HD glory and i already knew the gameplay/story, it wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable. luckily its my first play through so yay!
if you dont have vr, get into it, earn your vr legs with some games that have little or no movement (just download the 3 free demo discs off PS store), then move on to NMS, and thank me later. cheers!

I'm replaying Mass Effect Andromeda for the second time since launch. I decided to give the game another try after all the patches and refinements and it does look beautiful in HDR on my LG Oled C9. I gotta say, it's a mediocre Mass Effect game and the writing is still mediocre but the game itself is a solid 7/10.

Currently making my way through Halo 3 on PC. After absolutely loving Halo 2 Anni I'm really digging this one as well. Let's see if it ends up being just as good.
Next week I'm off work and plan to finally takle RDR2. Been holding out on this one for so long and now can't wait to fully engross myself into it.
That being said, I just discovered old console emulation of PC for me. Especially Dolphin is completely blowing me away. Been such an idiot last year for digging out that old console and hooking them up to my old monitor, playing the games with that washed out and streched image and these old shitty controllers. All the while I could have playing these games with the Elite controller and the original aspect ratio on PC... And Dolphin even makes those games look super clean. Can't believe it. Can't wait to get into the Metroid Trilogy on PC.

The hand drawn graphics and artstyle is fantastic. Absolutely gorgeous game. The combat is pretty fun too. Dust is all over the place sometimes, flying around like crazy.
So far it's a pretty entertaining Metroidvania. The only downside is the weak voice acting, particularly from Dust and his sidekick. But I manage. I can overlook it if the game continues to deliver.

Hi Friends.
- Tetris 99. It's on my daily rotation but I'm one ticket away from the collect 999 tickets badge.
- Carrion (Game Pass) - Finished the first section. The creature animation is beautiful and movement is fluid but I'm not loving the aiming/pull mechanics. The non-creature segment also felt dreadful.
- Ghost of Tsushima - I think I might be done with this game after reaching the second section. The game play loop has become dull as dishwater which is sad since it presents such a lush world and has an interesting story and cast of characters.
- Modern Warefare 2 (PS Plus) - I remember being really disappointed in this game after the original, specifically the multi-player. Cliffhanger is a great mission even if the Snowmobile section is more Michael Bay than I want to see in a serious military game.

It was the first Metroidvania with polished, non-pixely graphics I've played, plus all the high-octane action with mind-blowing air combos. Very good stuff, played and finished back in 2016 I think.
After that, you'll enjoy Sundered as well - has many of the same traits, minus the 40s cartoon looks.

I started this last night and it's great!
Also finally about to finish BotW. Knocked out the 3 remaining Divine Beast this past weekend and getting close to finishing all shrines. I haven't decided if I want to finish side quests or not. Exploration and rewards are so bad that I almost want to go fight Ganon and be done.
Taking a short break from GoT after making it through Act 1 with almost all stuff cleared. Don't want to get burned out.
Will be enjoying Fall Guys with friends once that drops soon.
