It usually has to be something pretty serious like "my friend may be off his meds and he is not picking up his phone, can you go to his house to check on him?" not "I'm nosy and need to know what's going on with someone I've never met because there are a few boxes in front of their door".

In most places they absolutely will if they’re not responding to people knocking on the door and mail is piling up. Maybe by you they won’t but that is definitely not the norm.

We have done it. They definitely show up. In our case it was within minutes and the old lady was OK, just off her meds crazy. She had to spend some time in the hospital, but was home in about a week.
Another neighbor checks in on her regularly now.

I have no problem on a discussion forum with guidelines for threads so long as they're laid out by the OP and the mods agree. Like if someone here makes a thread about some new game and states no spoilers, no console warring, and the mods choose to tag it that way - then great.

But then the mods forcefully change the tone and intent of the thread. Many threads start out jovial and informational, but after people complain and mods force their will upon others the conversation quickly fizzles out with a slew of one or two word responses because everyone is afraid of being banned for being open and honest.

Other times it's the mods themselves doing the complaining, even though the thread doesn't break any rules. It's usually some man child essentially saying "I don't like this thread, so I am going to spew out some silly sounding word salad about why it should be closed or changed".

So yeah it's definitely political by nature in the sense that it's a commentary on capitalism and shitiness of people regardless of how much we progress or how much time passes, but it's not the kind of in your face politics that some people might be used to at this point so not everyone might catch it or notice it at first.

You are twisting the genre's principles to validate that poster's limited perspective.

Works in the cyberpunk genre do not need to make a political statement or center around politics. For example, look at BlackMirror, most of it is Cyberpunk, and only a handful of episodes make a political statement. Most of the episodes center around the dysfunctional situations in which characters are forced due to the negligence of technology progress, the core of what cyberpunk is.

If CDPR wants to build a game on the cyberpunk genre that completely ignores the current political situation, they can do it while still objectively calling it Cyberpunk.

This actually just happened at my apartments. Somebody called in a wellness check on a guy because he hadn't left his apartment in two days, when he normally walks his dog 3 times a day, and packages piled up at his door. Im guessing family called it in. The cops showed up and busted down his door, turns out he died somehow.
