So we're getting another supervisor from Tiger Mask next week, Yasuhiro Namatame.
Meanwhile Yuichi Karasawa seems to have disappeared again right after coming back for a single episode :/

There are simply too many participants. Makes the encounters feel less worthwhile.

The main issue is that in most episodes there's just no drama about the main cast being eliminated, since so far everything has been pretty easy. Leaving dramatic stakes entirely to the ending of the arc like they seem to be doing is a big mistake.

"Lovely flowers shall bloom on the battlefield." This is just like one of my Japanese animes.

Man Gero was such an idiot. Why did he give himself a weaker body than the previous models, anyway? Besides the fact that 17 & 18 already had infinite energy so the energy absorbers he used seemed pretty pointless.

Because he deemed 16 17 and 18 failures, because of their behavior. It was stated he assumed too much power was what caused their mental instability (17 18) / faulty programming. (16)

He made 19 and was satisfied with the whole thing so he went for that. For his defense, he didn't think anybody could stand up to them, and the fact that they could absorb their target's powers also should have helped them greatly. But yeah he missed out on Super Saiyan and paid the price.

This.... This is shit.
See how they can use these fights to show he's smarter ?

Instead they just have him do exactly what Goku did except it works for no reason.

Where did you find this spoiler bit :O ?

Shouldn't he have been aware of Super Saiyan since he had Frieza cells? Unless you mean that the others mastered it.

That's sort of a plot hole, that they addressed by saying his computer handled the Cell project, as well as the robot spies / cell collectors.

Gero didn't have time to work on Cell himself and he let his computer do it. The "plot hole" is how he never went back to check on the computer at all in 3 years. But it's stated Gero had no idea about Super Saiyan or whatever happened on Namek, so at least at explains that other point. (and 17 confirms Gero had no data on Trunks)

Plot devices rule above all.

Not gonna lie it's kind of lame.

I'm all for Gohan succeeding, and this was the PERFECT example to show his strategy over Goku and Vegeta.

Aaaand... as usual brute force is key. Fuck that man.

Fun episode.

Highlight was Toppo sliding in out of nowhere to tell off 17 lol.

Nice episode for 17 all around. He also brought up the animals, where are the updates on team Goten/Trunks/Marron? Are the poachers still plotting? I need to know.

That's only cell because his development was automatic and separate from the Androids besides absorption
The android were based on data before they left for namek which is funny how much he overshoots and was lucky

Slower than normal Humans but yes.

Krillin still winning

i wanna see the timeline where bulma and turirin have died of old age, and vegeta and 18 find new meaning in life in their newfound love for each other

actually i was just remembering that joke 17 made about being 17

No, he just doesn't get any damage, an energy blast can still push him.

Nah, in the anime hits didn't even move him either. It was only in the manga where Goku could push him back, just causing no damage. The anime had that bit about him transferring the attack's energy to another dimension. They haven't referenced that in this tournament though, only how he doesn't take damage.

Is he though? Gohan always had a power advantage in the fights he's won, but he's always had a poor battle sense when it came to strategy. He overpowered Garlic Jr., Cell, Super Buu, but he never outsmarted them in battle. When you see him fight someone on his level (Dabura, Super Buu (w/ Piccolo and Gotenks) it's clear he doesn't have great battle sense.

I mean, at this point, only two cast members are aging negatively, it's Krilin and Bulma, and both are married to beings that age slower.

They can just use the Dragon Balls and get younger. Bulma suggested that in End of Z and I don't see why she wouldn't tbh.

Tien can just become an old martial arts master like Roshi.

BUT HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SMART NOW

How do you defeat an invincible opponent, immune to attacks, that Goku and Vegeta couldn't damage at all ?

Well, you punch him and blast him with a kamehameha of course.

Like come on dude.

To be fair...

The kamehameha might not be aimed at Botamo. Maybe by knocking his feet out from under him first.
