Apollyon's Void lets him destroy pedestal items and absorb them. If he absorbs an active item, then everytime you use Void it will also use the active item's effect. For example, if you use Void to absorb The Bible, then the next time you use Void you'll gain temporary flight as if you used The Bible. This stacks, so you can have multiple active items. The only exceptions are for items like Pandora's Box and Diplopia which now go away after one use like they normally would.
If Void absorbs passive items like an hp up or something, it will destroy them and apply a random stat upgrade to you. For example, you can absorb Experimental Treatment and instead of its normal effect, you'll just get a random stat increase.
At the very least, Edmund said they hope to find a way to resolve the whole "cosmetic mods disable achievements" thing, so it's not entirely hopeless.
I just wish they implemented this sort of thing after they got that sorted out first though. :/
I don't think there's any justification for this room being in the game other than to simply end runs. Abysmal, abysmal, ABYSMAL design this room is.
In case you can't see it, there's a Portal in the middle of the room as well.
Ed posted on Twitter earlier he's patching out that room ASAP

I had that exact same room in some other run. I would have died if it weren't for my item builds. It's a fucking terrible room they made.I don't think there's any justification for this room being in the game other than to simply end runs. Abysmal, abysmal, ABYSMAL design this room is.

The game just got patched...
In seemingly another attempt to ruin the fun of its players, they disabled the ability to add mods by adding them to the resources folder. Thanks to this change, I can't hear my custom soundtrack in the game without adding it through the workshop which will lock the ability to get achievements, therefor remove all my interest to play the game at all. Dammit Tyrone!
i saw this room which was run ender for me.
I was like what the fuck was he thinking
So am I missing something with these starting items? Maggie's not starting with the pill and Samson doesn't have Child's Heart...
Did you beat the April's Fool and Ultra Hard challenges?
Jesus christ portals are a mess, a miniscule nerf in hp is nothing. I had a decent run going and then in flooded catacombs 2 I got a room with a ton of rocks and two portals that kept on spawning fat bats. Without flying that supposed nerf did nothing. They should decrease spawn rate of portals, not hp.
Crooked Penny Unlocked. Beating Delirium with the keeper.
Tip, bring resistance runes, tried chaos card, but did not seem to kill it (or I missed, or it must be in its original form), luckily I had high luck + "Endless Nameless" so resistance runes kept dropping when using my one rune.
Has anyone messed around with the coop in Antibirth? It's insanely fun. Way better than those lame babies they put in the original game. My roommate usually plays as Azazel and gets most of the defensive items while I play as Isaac and take the damage up items. He uses his flight to push unobtainable red hearts towards me and I use my range to take out anything dangerous from far away. So much fun.
What pool is Greed's Gullet even in? Havent seen it anywhere.

It looks like Little Horn (item) instantly kills ultra greed while transforming to its second phase... Neat.
Managed to reach Delirium with The Lost. Game keeps crashing during the fight again, don't know what to do now, really don't want to fight through all that shit again. Fighting Delirium as The Lost is like the definition of futility, there's just nothing you can prepare for, if Delirium wants to kill you, bam, he's teleported on you and your runs over, Gnawed Leaf feels like the only viable way to approach it, unless I'm forgetting something else.
I used Empty Vessel/Guppy/Punching Bag, but it took a few lives. I also had a Cube of Meat I would go in with when the Vessel procced.
Which of the challenges are generally considered essential in terms of adding the most useful items to runs? And also beatable for someone who hasn't played 100 hours lol.
to this day I remain convinced nothing edmund throws in the game can be worse than the Brains challenge.
