Well I was under the impression it was native, but if that's seriously not the case then I'm even more down on the Pro than before.
No disagreement from me here. But you can basically prepend that sentence anything that happens on Twitter and GAF and I would agree.Fair enough. Mind you I was never one of those outraged and did think the whole thing was a bit of a silly over-reaction at the time, but agree with it or not that was why a lot of people were outraged.

I had no problems with the KZ:SF method, as the SP campaign was still native 1080p, and I never play PVP multiplayer.
Personally, I wager we'll see the same gaming sites make a big deal about native 4K on Scorpio, when they downplayed the differences in the beginning of this generation.

Fun fact: On of those 4 is now one of the writers for Star Wars game from EA Motive studio![]()
Huh, that's news to me.

Find me a machine that can render today's AAA titles in native 4k for $400 and I'll "lol console gaming" right with you.
Perfect. So he's got tons of experience in making shit up.
Good thing he wasn't hired for anything technical.
Your average consumer thinks PS4 Pro outputs native 4k, let's not fool ourselves here.
I don't know why you would expect that.4Kpr ? what a world to live in... I hope Sony will get the same treatment Microsoft had with it ; )
Oh. Well then I can't help you with that. I always thought 1080pr was a great trade-off.Talking about resolution treatment, not marketing bullshit...
I don't know why you would expect that.
Maybe I'm just way too biased (but will gladly take a lesson in history or current events) but when I compare Cerny explaining the concepts of a 4K image on PS4 Pro vs. the infinite power of the cloud and other Penello math then I see a stark contrast.
I would do that if I actually claimed it was possible. Im not the one lying Sony is so take your beef to them.
On PC I can at least get comfortable and affordable 1440p HDR with just a $199 GPU (RX480) instead of an "uprendered" (wtf is that supposed to mean anyway) image thats not even 1440p in the number of pixels actually rendered.
You think about that.
It's higher than 1080p, what's not OK about it?

Context is important.
Not hitting 1080p on 2013 machine was and remains sad joke
Not hitting 4K on 2016 machine is general expectation.
It's higher than 480i, what's not OK about it? From my perspective (using 480i TVs) nothing, but people who have a higher resolution screen might be upset.
