Words of a dead man. Positioning is very important, it goes hand in hand with the audio. I've never played a mp game where audio was so important. You'll hear your enemies long before you see them 8/10 times.
No, I am talking about someone's position when they shoot an entrance denial device. They could shoot it from very far away, meaning you can't do anything with that information.

I have played just about every day from release for I would say at least two hours and I still can only afford one of the new operators. I'm gonna have to wait and see how things shake out for who to get.

This has to be wrong. I've played almost every day since release and I have around 130k renown banked, and I've spent a bunch on skins.

Special Operations info since everyone is fascinated with their fashion choices.
Navy Seals wore Levi jeans during Vietnam. Rip stop and normal bdu's couldn't handle the humidity or foliage that they worked in. Panty hose were another must have.

Teamkilled a guy who wouldnt drop armour. Instantly picks rook, decides to just walk away when the game starts despite his teammates looking at him and pinging him

He wasnt a noob either,so I lost my patience

tried to kick me, no one else followed

Console or PC?
On PC at least you can type stuff, some people aren't using mics, so typing is very useful.

Thinking about truly dropping the cash on the Season Pass. Like, I get it. There are people with over 100k renown with everything unlocked. But for me? I play a decent bit but not THAT enough to have everything unlocked (skins, attachements, etc), and extra. I'd rather just get the Season Pass, and not have to worry about grinding for the DLC operator.

I say this with no stats... But I'd have to guess the people with everything unlocked and over 100k renown... Probably in the minority. But I suppose I could be wrong.

Question for the thread: Who here has everything unlocked and enough to buy both operators?

I play a fairly decent amount, 15-25 hours a week give or take and I am barely approaching 50k with all operators unlocked and only a few skins unlocked on my main ops. If it wasn't for the 50% boost I'd probably still be around 40k.

Edit: Just checked and I've played a total of 80h but in reality more due to how terrible the servers were the first 5-6 weeks the game was out.

I do, but I play a lot. But I also bought a bunch (most) of the 12K skins too... Still currently sitting at 56K.

I got Siege last week, and I'm loving the game so far. But the servers are nearly as bad as Master Chief Collection. What's the deal with the servers for this game?

Matchmaking is very buggy. It's been slowly getting better, and hopefully it doesn't take long before they fix all the remaining issues. If matchmaking seems to get completely stuck, you'll usually have better luck restarting matchmaking than waiting.

So my will broke and I picked this up last night.

Really digging it so far, even though I'm only doing single player. Not going to say there's a lot here to the single player - there isn't. But what is here feels great. I'm enjoying lone wolfing the terrorist hunt here more than I ever did in the previous two RS: Vegas games, and its just so damn nice not to have a game hold you hand throughout. You have to pay attention, you have to keep your cool, and look for opportunities. Normal difficulty is the only one I'm playing right now - I would go for hard or realistic but the timer seems too harsh for solo play, and would turn the mode into a rush mode, and I'm not into that.

I think Battlefield 4 has a better ballistics model, but you play an infantry mode like Team Deathmatch and the combination of infinite sprint and respawns means its snipers vs running SMGs - there's no grounding to it. RS: Siege has some seriously nice gunplay, in the sense that encounters are quick and brutal and you really, really don't want to get shot.

I could see myself playing a good amount of Situations and Terrorist Hunt to learn the maps and operators. The multiplayer has some allure, but if Ubi wants to extend the lone wolf and bot stuff there's plenty of potential for it, so I hope they do. At the very least I'd love to see hard and realistic terrorist hunts without that timer. Beyond that, even more variety in AI setups. Make it as dynamic as possible and I'll keep coming back for more.

The timer on realistic does suck. :/

Btw, it's not immediately obvious, but in the options you can set up preferences for Terrorist Hunt... only play certain maps or modes that you prefer. Under "matchmaking preferences".

You're on PC, I assume?

PS4, and I've been following this game pretty closely, watching streams and keeping up with GAF threads since release. Its just had this siren call, even though I am the opposite of a hardcore PvP player that makes up this game's target audience. Hardcore co-op? Definitely. Hardcore shooting models like bullet drop and one hit kills? Bring it on. So I guess it was only a matter of time, especially with what goes for modern shooters elsewhere these days.

And yeah, I've been filtering on one map at a time in matchmaking preferences, and bouncing between situations and terrorist hunt. With Dat Ash as my go-to operator :)

Yeah, don't play nearly that much. I think I shall just do it. I'd rather just have all the operators so I don't have to spend the hours I do play, getting the operators. You know? I guess the only reason I ask cause I know some people say it's a bad investment...

Been thinking about this too, siege is the only multiplayer game I play but im nowhere near 25k for one of the operators and I don't play enough to have that kind of reknown quickly.

I do not but my friend very nearly has enough. He had about 43k as of yesterday and we got a few wins in so he's probably at 44-45k. If he doesn't get the season pass he'll have enough to buy them both after the 7 day exclusivity.

Well you're looking at a 30-40 hour investment in order to get to 50k so if that something you realistically think you won't be able to do then definitely buy it, however I forsee the 50k only being an issue for the first batch of ops so your really paying $20 for 2 ops, so is it really worth it?

I do. As well as the attachments I prefer. Red dot grip compensator on basically every gun possible. Don't bother with skins cause I think they're a waste.

I decided to go for it because something like 30 ~ 40 hours per 2 DLC operators is a bit much for me. I play often but not THAT often. I would probably get the characters eventually, but it would be long after.

Any ETA for Operation Black Ice?

Edit:
Information here:

A scheduled maintenance is due to take place on February 2nd on all platforms.

Three friends and I were playing with a random last night and he did the exact same thing. My friend was trying to plant his cluster charge above the objective in Plane, and the random had already set a breach charge down. Just as I was telling my friend to just shoot the breach charge, the random blew it, sending my friend falling wounded into the room below to be killed. Awful.

Honestly, man, I wouldn't even consider myself a hardcore PvP player and I love Siege MP. I am horrible at Halo, never really enjoyed The Crucible, and only really play Battlefield 4 when I'm with friends.

Siege kinda occupies its own unique territory for me. I think its a mix of the importance of shooting PLUS positioning, Operator selection, tactics, and overall strategy. Shooting is just one piece of the puzzle, it's not necessarily the great divider of PvP.

Sometimes Siege MP feels like the best co-op ever.

Glad you took the plunge :D

Looks like the patch is "fixing" peoples ranks as well. It is probably higher now that it was before depending on how well you were doing in ranked games.

I wonder if that means if I'll be in Gold/near Plat now. Been stuck on Silver 4 for ages.

Frost gets 3 welcome mats and you can place them anywhere on the floor. It looks like it puts you DBNO when you step on it.

Never playing a single round of terrorist hunt ever again.
