Oh, that. Surprised that some haven't shipped yet. Hopefully everyone gets theirs.
I believe many were back ordered.
Not gaming, but whatever:

Vancouver to LA, $65 CAD roundtrip per person taxes included. Dates from Jan-June 2016.

https://www.google.ca/flights/#search;f=YVR;t=LAX;d=2016-03-30;r=2016-04-05

EDIT: $8 one-way from LA to Vancouver haha.
This is quite the price error. Would be even better if exchange rate wasn't so bad :(
Maybe not the hottest deal at this point but Watch Dogs Xbox One is just $7.97 and in stock online at Best Buy.

They also have 30% off PS3 and 360 games but the selection was very poor tbh and it doesn't include clearance items and pre-orders.
30% off "all" clearance games in store, so you can get that if you can find a store with stock and a second clearance game you might want/ can buy it with. (quotes because their system's weird and not automatically applying the discount properly sometimes)

lol I didn't notice the $8 one way fares. I grabbed a round trip for the February weekend that the SoCal Pokemon Regional Championships are on. I guess I should start practicing...

I also grabbed some dates in June since my friends and I were going to Disneyland but the prices expired before they could finish checking out -.- Tried to confirm payment and it said they were gone. Delta site doesn't seem to reserve your prices =/

I need to cancel but a part of my brain is stopping me... $65 so cheap...

Is it still available? It's not showing up for me.

Are these headphones any good: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B000065BPB/

I need a new pair and looking for a cheap pair to listen to some hiphop to (I neeed bass but not that overbearing Beats stuff). My momentum over ears broke :(

Got those for 89.99 two weeks ago from NCIX. Amazing. Get them. Natural bass, if you want that artificial stuff go with Beats though.

Amazing set of cans. Just note I wouldn't step out of my house with these on, they look huge and stick out a lot.

GDI

I got an email saying amazon prime offers 20 percent off new game pre orders, and I got excited thinking it was from .ca,and that maybe the 20 percent would stack on the 30 percent from the pre order 3 deal...

The mail was from .com

-_-

I feel fucking stupid.

Lol I got the same one, came here to investigate before I got too excited though :P

I don't believe much in the employment argument. Once the pipeline is built all those jobs are mostly done anyway. And the numbers wouldn't affect the employment rate enough to lead to an higher unemployment rate if rejected. Moreover, these jobs are often for specialized workers like engineers (for the planning and construction) and chemists (for the petrochemistry) and not really open for the majority of the population. And for the chemistry side you are pretty burned out if you lose your job after working in a specialized field for long. I used to be a chemist and knew colleagues that worked at Shell's refinery in MTL for years and once it closed they couldn't find jobs anywhere else because they were specialized in this field and there were not much position available unless you want to expat yourself.

Even if you can stop your oil from being landlocked it's no good if no one wants to buy it either. The EU for instance have been actively trying to ban its use for a while.

I'm not in the green savior thing bandwagon at all but I think it's becoming clearer with each passing years that the future isn't in the oil industry anymore.

The employment also comes from the income governments get from taxes: direct at the wellhead, through income taxes, and corporate tax. Health care, education, infrastructure are all very expensive and employ a lot of people. The wealth also gets spread around via equalization payments.

I don't know how the future is going to play out. It is possible carbon capture will be the answer as opposed to paving the world over solar panels and wind farms.

TBH, my big worry about the future is when ai and robots start making people redundant. What happens when the jobs done by middle managers, doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, taxi drivers, truck drivers, pilots, teachers, judges, carpenters, plumbers, etc, etc can be done better and cheaper by computers and/or robots? Those kinds of job losses will be something to behold. How will human society organize itself when work isn't being done by people. Those question make thinking about the loss of the oil industry kinda moot.

So while the dollar is shit, and continues to fall, I ask this out of curiosity.

Playstation Gold Headsets, do these ever go on sale? I see they're $120 pretty much everywhere, and I know in the past there have been sales (I just can't recall how deep those savings were).

Gracias amigos!

It was $50 a few weeks ago.

What? Where?

Fuck, I just bought them on sale at the Source for $80 thinking I got a good deal.

I got an email from VGP saying Atelier Escha & Logy Plus ($79.99) is up. I think they're the only option aside from the NISA store.

I'm not sure.
My friend just bought it at Lougheed EB and told me I should get it so we can play coop. I checked BestBuy and EB Coquitlam, EB in Pitt Meadows, Lougheed, Brentwood all out of stock before I realized I should just ask them to check their computer. It was out of stock pretty much everywhere I could get to...

I just bought it on Amazon, hopefully it won't take too long.

Edit :

Anybody tried these Kingston HyperX Cloud headsets? Thinking about getting this one, it says its compatible on all platforms and it's a bit cheaper than the Golds.
http://www.ncix.com/detail/kingston-hyperx-cloud-gaming-headset-2c-101705.htm

I have the Hyper X and they've served me well for the price, paid 70$ on sale at NCIX, but they do get uncomfortable for me after extended use. However I wear em on only 1 ear while i make calls for work when I work from home and that like for 8 hours. If the price is right I'd get them if you can't afford something higher end.

I got the Sennheiser 598s which are amazing and i just ordered a new cable with an line mic to use.

Seriously, what the fuck...
$99 games incoming. $111 with taxes.
$69 with Amazon E3 30% off.
Fucking hell.

The increasing prices have made PSN my goto store. No taxes, plus a sale every month or two.

And if games really are $90+ this year, then I won't be buying any until there are price drops.

Gotta get a double application of that discount by error in order to actually have a deal.

I decided I will keep every game I ordered from Amazon, including both Fire Emblem games even though I got the SE. I should be able to easily sell on Kijiji for a decent profit.

Freaking KOFXIV and Ni-oh didn't go on pre-order, otherwise I would have been set for a long time to come with everything else I've pre-ordered.

Holy shit. Nobody will buy games anymore. I'm sure the decline in sales is already very noticeable compared to a couple years ago.
