Sorry man, but with the CAD dropping next to the USD, my only hope is for the yen to fall faster so I can actually continue to buy retro stuff.
I don't get it. Why do want the Yen to keep on lowering? It will raise the price that you will pay after exchange unless there's something here I don't know.

I'd rather have the 20% off all the time, easy. Canadian Prime has precious few perks.
If only Prime is good.....

I'm pretty glad Bayonetta went on sale when it did, otherwise I would've kept waiting for a sale and miss out when it went out of print.

Sucks I had to buy Pikmin 3 at regular price. If only my E3 order had gone through.

I was afraid that would happen.

I do, I'm saying E3 never has ALL the upcoming games. Especially smaller Japanese ones.

Ah. I've never had that issue. Always found that either Best Buy or Amazon would have it and in Best Buy's case during E3 will add a game if requested. Prime isn't worth enough to me in Canada to pay for it regularly and get 10% of a discount less.

My order is still in but with "Arriving 25 Jan - 27 Jan".

Hoping for the best but expecting inevitable cancellation.

That cancellation ended up being best case scenario for me. Ended up getting the last copy from that 3rd party seller, got amazon to refund the difference, and the game shipped tonight. Mind...at rest.

So while the dollar is shit, and continues to fall, I ask this out of curiosity.

Playstation Gold Headsets, do these ever go on sale? I see they're $120 pretty much everywhere, and I know in the past there have been sales (I just can't recall how deep those savings were).

Gracias amigos!

It was $50 a few weeks ago.

Any Vancouver / lower mainland gaffers seen a copy of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate lately? I've gone to like 10 EBs and a few Best Buys... Anybody selling a used copy?

Good solid info guys, I'm torn between the Golds and Turtle Beach 500P cans. I'm not in it for the best sound, but I like the lack of optical connector on the Golds. It's really just so I have something halfway decent for some online fun with friends.

I too am spoiled by the quality of Sennheiser products. The 598's are some of the best headphones I've ever owned.

If you Aren't looking for audiophile headphones, just get a decent pair od earbuds with an in-line mic

A weaker, lower yen against the loonie means a dollar will buy more yen. Therefore importing stuff from Japan becomes more affordable. A stronger, higher yen means the loonie buys far less yen, meaning the same product would be more expensive to import.

The loonie was getting battered all last year but it did very well against the yen up until very recently. Instead of importing games from the U.S., I imported more stuff from Japan last year. At one point in the summer we were past dollar/100 yen parity. Sadly with how the loonie is getting pegged to oil, that won't happen for a while unless the oil outlook changes very quickly. (Which it could, in theory.)

I feel the dilemma I have is that I am bored, but there is nothing I really want to buy and play ATM.

Maybe it will save me in the 84.99 future.

Wasn't it in stock just 2 weeks ago?

I'm not sure.
My friend just bought it at Lougheed EB and told me I should get it so we can play coop. I checked BestBuy and EB Coquitlam, EB in Pitt Meadows, Lougheed, Brentwood all out of stock before I realized I should just ask them to check their computer. It was out of stock pretty much everywhere I could get to...

I just bought it on Amazon, hopefully it won't take too long.

Edit :

Anybody tried these Kingston HyperX Cloud headsets? Thinking about getting this one, it says its compatible on all platforms and it's a bit cheaper than the Golds.

So Amazon Prime US is going permanent 20% off preorders and new releases.

I fear if Amazon Canada adopts this that is goodbye to future 30% off deals for all... Which we need more now than ever, lol...

Yeah I saw that, but GCU is juicier. GCU is 20% off every game, any time. I did order off amazon.com some games that BB won't have like Gravity Remastered PS4 and Lucas amiibo.
