I mean I figured $1200 was an incorrect price when I pre-ordered, I don't really consider it grounds for cancellation though

Brehs.
$84.99 is only the beginning, I'm predicting we will see $94.99 before the end of the year
I'm holding on to my E3 preorders like grim death.

Time to work on backlog
With 15% hst here, that's almost $100. Fuck that, no way I'm paying that much for a video game. I seriously wonder how many copies are even sold at these prices.![]()

Like I said in the other thread, it's most likely a bundle price.
$399 USD - PS4
$399 USD - PSVR
$798 USD
$798 USD = $1123 CAD
Amazon had it for $1125 CAD
I am calling it. PSVR is $399 USD.
Solid thinking there. Only other reason I could see them cancelling is if it were a stock issue.

$84.99 games?
When will it end?

$85. Man, can't believe it has finally reached this. I've had to resort to selling some of my game to fund others.
EB Games is saved!
Well not to scare you, but when I was a kid, FF3 was 129.99. Chrono Trigger was 134.99.
That's before you add in taxes.
The puddle of sorrow is deep.

Excuse me?
After $80 games I barely have a backlog anymore.I can't wait to finally clear my backlog
Not gaming but you guys should follow http://yvrdeals.com or whatever the equivalent for your city is. Right now there's super cheap flights across Canada on WestJet. <$350 Round Trip Vancouver <-> Toronto! Less than $250 for Vancouver <-> Winnipeg.

if that price becomes the new regular price it means he'll just start playing the games he's already bought and hold off on buying games day 1.
There was no way ff3 was $79 on release. You must've got it on sale. I distinctly remember paying over $100 for it at consumers.Should've bought it day 1. I remember buying for $79 on release day.
What a day it was.
Back to deals...time to load up on Xbox live and PSN subs, still below $50 depending where you look...

This still the place to bitch about gaming-related shipping?
UPS left a parcel on my deck today. Rock Band 4 cymbal pack. Which was in its original box and not in another box, or bag, or anything. This would normally be fine, except we are getting a wicked fucking storm here today. Basically had freezing rain and ice pellets all morning, then started getting buried in snow a couple of hours ago. Parcel was apparently left at 8:45 AM or so.
Got home, box is sitting in my deck, exposed (not against my door, behind a wall, or even tucked behind my garbage can or anything), and is soaked through (snow in the box, even). I have no way to test them right now to see if they even work.
Fortunately Amazon has got me covered (sending a replacement, no questions asked) but, what the shit, UPS.
Edit: Cracked the box open and took out the contents. Scooped out some snow that got in some of the other boxes inside, but everything might be fine - HMX has shit in (tape-sealed) plastic bags and it looks like nothing vital took water damage (just some of the how-tos and shit).
Hey so fun update on this.
I tried the original set out, and it didn't work, so I junked it.
Today I got an e-mail reminder from Amazon reminding me that I was supposed to return the damaged product and that I had a week to do so or I would be getting billed. At no point in my convo with the original CSR did they mention they wanted the damaged goods back or that they were just basically doing up an RMA for me rather than getting me to do it myself. They didn't mention this to me, none of the correspondence indicated there was a return, I saw nothing on my original order indicating that (but it's on there now), never got an e-mail until today, etc.
So now I'm chatting with a CSR who is basically saying "yeah, you have to send the broken one back, that's how RMAs work" when I'm saying "but that's not what I was told we were doing". I went back through my log and the CSR did say they could set me up with a "replacement order" free of charge, which I have since found out is actually codified as an exchange on their end. The CSR is checking with their supervisor so now I need to find out if I'm paying $140 for cymbals, $70 for nothing, or something in the middle. Fun times.
Edit: k, got a response after waiting for like 30m in a chat - waive the fee as a one time exception, no need to return, etc. At least I will know for next time (I hope there isn't a next time) that they just want me to do an RMA and that they're not writing it off...
That's it. I'm going back to reading books.
I don't want to sound like a dick, but did you really think you wouldn't have to return the defective item (which you yourself even said probably isn't defective)?
That's it. I'm going back to reading books.
