They're great. My gf picked me up a pair for Christmas and I was listening to podcasts all day while cooking yesterday.

598's would be better for gaming. They're open headphones and have a much wider sound stage which also makes them great for competitive games like Counter Strike or Battlefield where you can benefit from the accurate sound direction.
I'm not a personal fan of the 280's or the 598's in fact. Both hurt my ears if I wear them for too long. The 280's are still considered good entry level audiophile closed headphones, alongside the ATH-M50.

People have been waiting for 24 hours for their PSN verification email and I've been waiting for 4 hours now and I still can't access my account on my newly bought PS4. I've tried to get in via the store on PC but still nothing. It's even worse when you know that I want to buy a shitload of games from the flash sales and I might get fucked if I can't access my account in the next 48 hours.

Sorry to hear that dude. A friend of mine got his hiuse robbed several years ago and since then, we noticed thieves always make a distinct pattern and 9 times outta 10, its an inside job, meaning the thief lives around the community and knows which houses to hit. I'm sure you guys called the police, but anything suspicious yiu guys saw (eg random phone calls, weird people in cars or walking by) will help you identify them. Talk to neighbours too, if rhey heard or seen anything. I wish you and your family luck. Best way to get over this is either getting a high tech security or moving, as my friend and his family did eventually.

The 598s are good but it looks like you're already covered for headphones. They seem to be going on sale for around this price a lot so it's not really a "must buy" unless you really have a need for them.

Eh, depending on the TV you already have, I would wait to buy a 4K set. 4K content is going to make a big splash soon.
With the low dollar I don't expect them to go under 120$ in a while. Eh I don't really need headphones anyway so no impulse buy this time.
4K blu rays are coming out next year, and Rogers (Canada) is bringing 4K sports as well. If you keep your TVs for a long time like most people, it's probably best to future proof it. Same reason I wouldn't have bought a 720p TV in 2007, I wouldn't buy a large 1080p set in 2015. Depends on your own uses though, that's what I would do.

I assume it will be Walmart. I remember some folks were able to PM during holidays like boxing day.

They are also going to have all Jays game in 4k
Yet they still don't have 1080p over cable =/
I've had mine for a year and a half, daily usage, still holding up well, and still maintain a good charge.

Personally really hated the 598s. You really need to listen to a very specific type of music to make the most of them. I mostly listened to rap, hip hop, R&B, EDM and pretty much never used them. I much preferred the Sennheiser Amperior.

I can't believe I still have this silly first world dilemma of owning a totally capable gaming PC (GTX 770, i5 2670k), but then I still mostly buy 3rd party games for my PS4 and XBOne. Going to go out get get AC Syndicate and Tomb Raider from the MS Store for my XBOne, and maybe Batman for my PS4.
Yeah wait three years and buy a 4K tv that's twice as good for half the price. This is still early adopter territory.

Just tried to buy an Elite Controller on Best Buy's site, but the site was so glitchy that I couldn't checkout. Now it's sold out.
Yea, I plan on jumping all in on 4K by around 2020, or whenever next-gen consoles are released.
Prices should be reasonable by then.
