If it wasn't for yoshis world, and the pro controller (can't stand the clunky tablet), I would've dumped my Wii U this holiday.

Figure one day I can donate it. Definitely a forgettable system.

Then again the VC backward compatibility is nice. And Yoshi. Yup. Finally a sequel to the snes Classic.

Meanwhile the xone brought me halos, gears, forzas, TRs, rare replay (which quite frankly should've been a Wii u game, lol), ori, and sunset. With a top tier controller, 360 BC. And a big backlog now :)

Halo 5 is the best MP I've ever played.

To each their own, no doubt.
 
My XB1 wasn't getting much playtime outside of Gears Ultimate and a few Halo MCC matches. Now that 360 BC is available I'm much happier with the system; but I still wish I had waited to get it instead of spending $349 for a 500GB system + Project Spark and Halo MCC.
 
I canceled my amazon PS4 order because of the estimated delivery date. January 5th is way too late. It's even funnier when you know that I have prime ...

So I went to Best Buy and bought the same bundle (NDC collection + GOW III digital) for 20$ more but fuck it i wasn't going to wait for 10 days.

And while I was there I realized how Sony is KILLING it this Christmas. There were like 3 displays of PS4 bundles (NDC collection only) and 2 displays of Xone bundles ( 1T bundle or Gears of War collection bundle) and during the 30 minutes I spent there I saw at least 30-40 people buying a PS4 and only 2 guys buying an X1. Holy shit Sony.

Fuck, I just bought the Sennnheisers HD 280 Pro for 89.99. Keeping em because I listen to bass heavy music.

I kind of want to get the 558s for the non bass music though...598s sold out on Amazon.ca

Saw this too, but at EB. That battlefront bundle is crazy popular.

Funny enough on the rare times I'm in WM, see the opposite (ie xb more popular), and Costco too.

Right now on Amazon looks like NDC PS4 $349 bundle is charting slightly ahead of the xb 5 game bundle $399

Good days ahead for consoles.

I like both colors but my apt is back/red contrast so I like matching. I hate when things stand out too much (from the color scheme of the apt) when I put em down. Call it OCD or w.e

Colour in reality doesn't matter. But there are times where I look at my silver DT990's and white ATH-M50's and go "I bought some damn good looking headphones." Those red and blue ATH-M50's though? Gross.

Also having a general black-white colour pattern in my room makes things really easy when choosing colours for whatever in my room
 
I fell asleep and woke up at 6, but was too tired to go out shopping and just said screw it. Seems like Best Buy hasn't restocked X-Files, nor has Amazon, so I'm probably SOL.

Ah well.

I don't see why it's an unfair calculation unless you absolutely need the games right now. As someone who will wait for all those games to hit $15, their value to me is $15. Their current market value isn't really interesting. It's the smart way to calculate the value of a bundle, what you actually would have paid for the items individually.

If you look at current value when you wouldn't buy the games at that price, you have been tricked.

There's more ways to value things than just costs though.

You're still getting a shit load of games with the deal, with a lot of variety.

And by your logic, no console + game bundle would ever be a good deal
 
After doing some research on VITA games, I cannot bring myself to purchase one even for 170$. There is absolutely nothing I want to play on this thing.
 
My local Bestbuy's cell phone section was crazy busy but the normal registers were not so I picked up Wooly World with little difficulty. I also checked out Superstore but there wasn't much aside from some cheap chocolate.

Glad to hear this. We need Microsoft to stay competitive if we want the market to stay healthy. Those X1 deals are amazing. Too bad I'm not interested at all in their exclusives.

I wanted to buy a SW bundle but they were sold out :( Called a few BB, EB games etc... in Montreal and they all told me the same thing.
 
Man. That's gut wrenching feeling, Shagg. I was a wreck when I was at risk of losing a large chunk of money like that. I can't imagine how it feels to actually lose it.

I hope you guys make it through this.

I have not argued against the deal giving you a shit load of good games with plenty of variety. I also said it was a good deal.

And yes, by my logic most bundles aren't as good deal as the console manufacturers want you to believe. I have always seen "$300 for console with controller" as a better deal than "$330 for console with controller and $60 game" because the $30 less I spend on my bundle gives me two old but great $15 games of my choice rather than a game of $60 value that was picked for me.

Bundles are a cheap way to trick gamers into thinking they're getting a good deal when they are not.
 
You don't really need those headphones. They are $150 when you factor in taxes. $150. Listen to the voice of reason. It's just gonna be another trinket soon.

HD598s will serve you great for music and gaming, as long as you're only using them at home.

No comment on 280 I've never tried them.
 
Any deals on FFX for Vita?

Best Buy has it for $15 but online is wiped clean and it won't let me check store stock.

Are you talking about the 598? I got them on Black Friday, and they're absolutely amazing.
