My understanding is that they have a limited number of writes and will inevitably fail. But I have no idea how many writes that is.

A LOT. Your SSD is *far* more likely to fail due to the storage controller chip than to the storage flash itself, and those problems are becoming less and less likely as the technology matures.

The only "downside" to buying SSDs right now is that the technology and capacity are still moving quickly, so anything you buy now should be about using it now, not for a few years down the road, necessarily.

Amazon.ca would most likey be the only place, however they don't have an entry for it yet. Your best bet (right now) would be to either order from Amazon.com or import the Asia version, which is in English and released.

It took Amazon.ca a very long time to put up Life is Strange Limited Edition which was announced around the same time as the retail release of Gravity Rush: Remastered

So.. would you say there's still a chance to see the physical version of Gravity Rush Remastered for PS4 on Amazon.ca, or would I need to bite the bullet and pay USD for it?

Policies that make you scratch your head.

So I bought my son Yoshi's Woolly World on amazon less then a month ago for $56. It's now at $50. Ask if they can refund the difference and they say they can only do that within 7 days of delivery. Ask how long I have to make a return, they say 60 days. So then I state I could buy the game again at the sale price, and "return" the old one for a refund. The answer was obviously yes. So I ask, wouldn't it make more sense just to price match and save Amazon the cost of shipping the old game back, and the new game here? Then I get the policy read to me again. I tell them I'm just going to slap the return label on the new game and send it back right away and ask if they were sure there wasn't someone there that could just ok the refund. NOPE!

Ah well. It's a chance to earn some more points on my credit card.

It really is all about who you talk to on Amazon. Just spoke to another CS rep. They're refunding the price difference so I can cancel the second order and save everyone a bunch of time.

Question regarding Amazon returns. I bought a gift for someone without knowing they already had it. The charge is already on my credit statement. How do I get the refund? Do I pay off the amount and then they credit it back to my account, or do I not pay it off and wait for the refund first?

Thanks.

Just go into your Amazon account and process a return. You'll get a return label created. Return it and they refund you.

I find if you go through the help chat option, they will give you a refund immediately and do all the return work for you and make a return label for you. They then wait for the item to be returned and if it isn't in a few business weeks, they charge you back.

I would just pay it if it is on your credit card bill, it will be refunded ASAP on your next one, Amazon rocks.

Just contact CS reps on chat. They'll set up the return. Money goes back to your account within 2 - 3 days of receiving the item.

Ok. Convince me that it's better to have physical copies of games. I picked up Batman Arkham Night, Lego Jurassic World, and The Witcher 3. $30 a pop. But now PSN has the Flash Sale going on and all three games are $25...and no tax?

Edit: Hmmm. Apparently the thread in cheapassgamer was wrong with their prices. Batman and Witcher are $30. Jurassic is $27.50. So it's just basically the taxes. Still, I find myself playing the games on my harddrive more often due to my laziness to get up and change the game.
You can trade/sell physical copies.

Does anybody know if the Rodea Sky Solider Wii U that's on sale on Amazon right now includes the Wii version? I don't see it in the product description.

(Has it ever been in the product description?)

I doubt the game sold that well so probably. You can always return it?

How did this come about?
I'm not even completely sure myself, hahaha. I went into it totally prepared to have to rebuy and return, and they did say no (as per policy) at first, was going to give me $10 promo credit, but apparently they felt really bad about it so they gave me a one time exception. Like, I wasn't even going to argue about it, but somehow got it? Maybe because I'm always turned down for adjustments, haha.
Oh I really appreciate the offer, but I'm one of those rare paranoid people who refuses to shop online haha. Jokes aside, it's half true, my local mail box is a subject to break ins and for some reason I actually cannot get retailers to ship to my local post office instead.

Worst comes to worst I always have digital, sigh. Or maybe ask a friend to place an order for me while I pay them
Man, that really sucks! Hope it works out somehow for you, just tell me if you change your mind about the promo code, ok? Also BB might take pre-orders in store closer to release? I think I've seen preorder cards appear right before release before for other games.

This seems to have been added to the product page recently, so it appears so?

Seems they forgot to change the com to ca though hmm.

Thank to whoever brought up the Visa Checkout thing with Chapters. $2 off the Force Awakens with free shipping to store is still $2 in my pocket.

I pre-ordered on .com for now, close to 61$ CAN with deposit... And that is if the dollar doesn't drop more before February (would not be surprising). Amazon.ca really needs to put this up!

Hey guys where would be the best place to buy Magic the Gathering cards?

I almost ordered the $35 Amazon kit here http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00Y0ZVNFM/

But I thought I'd ask to see if there is somewhere better?

Bought the same toolkit when I got into Magic. Thought it was a good deal until I saw the same thing for $20 at a local game store. Amazon really sucks for Magic. I use Face to Face Games to buy singles and they've been great. 401 Games is better for buying booster boxes since you get free shipping over $100.

I would say there is a chance, since we still have just over a month and a bit for Amazon.ca to throw up a listing. What I've done is placed and order on Amazon.com and plan on cancelling it as soon as our Amazon adds it.

Your games are not at the mercy of the content provider. I find this very important and it's the reason why I always go physical, but the Vita is forcing me to change this habit since many games are digital only and physical vita games are rare in general.

How bad is Amiibo Festival? The Giant Bomb quicklook was both hilarious and deeply disturbing, but maybe it would be an amusing diversion for me and my daughters (3 and 5).

There's not a ton to it. But it's really cute. My wife and I play for something pretty mindless to do.

Wtb sweet deals for Plus or Live. Anything?

Best deals available are a measly $3 off 12-month PS Plus cards at Amazon and $10 off three-month Xbox Live Gold cards at multiple places (Microsoft Store, EBGames in-store). If you're looking for a full year, the Gold sale isn't really worth it as four cards comes out to $60 anyways.
