NEW DEAL

Amazon has 50% off select games.

Some highlights:

Bayonetta 2 - $32.50 Edit: apparently Bayo 2 isn't showing up at half off
Hatsune MIku: Project Mirai DX - $25
Hyrule Warriors - $32.50
Divinity: Original Sin (PS4) - $30
Rare Replay - $15
Senran Kagura 2 Deep Crimson - $25
Tales of Xillia 2 Collector's Edition - $57.50
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - $22.50
I couldn't say no to SMT Soul Hackers for just under $20 with tax included. I always kinda regretted selling that game back in 2013.

If I understand correctly, that means the Wii U Pro Controller will be $39.99, Wiimotes $32.99, and nunchuks $9.99 (that last one can't be right, right?)

Could be, they've been $10 at Shoppers for a while, I grabbed a black one last week for that.

What's the cheapest that the Pro controller has been at? I'm kinda tempted to buy it at $40, but it's still kinda expensive considering I'll only use it for a few games.

About $40, I think. The only real deals I can think of involved using $10 or $20 off coupons at Shoppers, but you also had to buy some other stuff to bump yourself to the minimum purchase amount. It's how I got my one pro controller, and at $40 I think I'll bite for a backup.

Wish they weren't glossy, however.

I already have 2 pro controllers...yet I could buy JUST one more...

I'm buying Rare Replay and I don't even have a One. :lol

It was $25 once at The Source. Clearance, I think.

pretty sure $40 is the lowest regular sale price

Policies that make you scratch your head.

So I bought my son Yoshi's Woolly World on amazon less then a month ago for $56. It's now at $50. Ask if they can refund the difference and they say they can only do that within 7 days of delivery. Ask how long I have to make a return, they say 60 days. So then I state I could buy the game again at the sale price, and "return" the old one for a refund. The answer was obviously yes. So I ask, wouldn't it make more sense just to price match and save Amazon the cost of shipping the old game back, and the new game here? Then I get the policy read to me again. I tell them I'm just going to slap the return label on the new game and send it back right away and ask if they were sure there wasn't someone there that could just ok the refund. NOPE!

Ah well. It's a chance to earn some more points on my credit card.

Alright, guess I'll bite. I've been using my WiiU more recently, and I feel the controller isn't that durable, so I was thinking of picking up a Pro for the more action and button-mashey games. At the very least, I have until tomorrow to cancel.

Weird, I thought you had to pay the cost of shipping the return back unless Amazon made an error on the order?

UPCOMING DEAL

Heads up, looks like this is coming in ~5 minutes or so:

Pro Controllers on sale is like finding a unicorn

It's like one of those once a year deals that comes and goes in the blink of an eye.

Get it. These things are infamous for almost NEVER going on sale, except for clearance, and even they're gone like the wind.

Now when it's sold out, Darth Vader DS4 is $49.99... So it was available for that price around noon, then they changed it back to $75, just to change it to $49.99 when it's not available. Awesome!
I'll try to grab it on Saturday in store...

$25 iirc. Target was still around, sob.

Grabbed Blood Bowl for PS4 as it is half off on Amazon and $25 exactly which still qualifies for free shipping. I've been waiting for a price drop since release and this is low enough.

Ok. Convince me that it's better to have physical copies of games. I picked up Batman Arkham Night, Lego Jurassic World, and The Witcher 3. $30 a pop. But now PSN has the Flash Sale going on and all three games are $25...and no tax?

Edit: Hmmm. Apparently the thread in cheapassgamer was wrong with their prices. Batman and Witcher are $30. Jurassic is $27.50. So it's just basically the taxes. Still, I find myself playing the games on my harddrive more often due to my laziness to get up and change the game.

Interesting, amazon's refunding me the difference for Rodea, "as an exception." I've been having some bad luck with adjustments with them these last few times, so this is nice.
Yep! Both from Mississauga. Did they just up and decide to sit on Bestbuy packages because Bestbuy forgot to pay Canada Post their dues?
Maybe, hahaha. Though it's probably just delayed because of the holiday rush.
.....is it safe to not preorder Fire Emblem Fates (not LE) and just reserve a copy on the midnight of the release day?
If you want to try your luck with preordering online again, I have an extra code for 20% off at BB for either/both versions of Fates. Shipping might be better then, since it's not holiday rush.

... I wonder if it can be used for the LE though, hmm. Probably not.

Oh I really appreciate the offer, but I'm one of those rare paranoid people who refuses to shop online haha. Jokes aside, it's half true, my local mail box is a subject to break ins and for some reason I actually cannot get retailers to ship to my local post office instead.

Worst comes to worst I always have digital, sigh. Or maybe ask a friend to place an order for me while I pay them

Have you checked out Canada Post Flex Delivery? Started earlier this year.

Do you not have an EB Games around? Otherwise, I'm sure the standard version of the game will be in stock everywhere.

Amazon matched the buy 2 get 1 free blu-ray tv series deal at some point. Most of the stuff for the X-files was out of stock but still let you order so hopefully they ship everything. I think they will.

It's about $100 for the entire 9 seasons of the X-Files on Blu-ray.

Crazy.

Yeah but No free shipping ...

I went with Amazon.

What? Why isn't there free shipping?

edit: oh, it's just excluded. weird. shipping is only $7.48 though, it's not that bad compared to the discount.

Amazon is $350 right?

Chapters is $370 - 10% + $7.50, which is $340.50
