I really wanted to grind L50 gear for my Skells, but instead, aside from doingmore affinity missions post-game, I ended up trying to work on the Collectopedia and so far...

I'd perform a dance of discovery like Tatsu would... but I won't.

Aaaah, I need to know some of the names of items I'm missing for my completion. Is it okay if I PM you a pic of what I'm missing once I'm back home? :< Since the one's I'm missing have no names attached.

Just take the whole Wii U :p
..........i actually was considering that.

...but they already have one so it might not be the best option. Ideally, I would like to bring my save+profile over and I think I can grok how to bring the save over (copy it onto an SD card, if possible) but have no idea what I need to do to get my profile over..or even what profile on the Wii U dictates which save file is mine.

I thought you couldn't have the same account on multitple WiiUs. Just bring yours and not worry about it. ^^

Please somebody sell me on this game, my Wii U is gathering dust and this game seams very interesting, so could somebody please sell me on this game?

You just sold yourself on it.

You cannot move your save onto another Wii U (or anywhere). You either bring the whole system with you or your shit out of luck.

Noob question but what do I do with all this Miranium now that I have maxed out my shops to rank 5?
Have you ever use to make gear (Skell frame, Skell gears, ground wear, weapons, and etc...?)

Other than that... I do not know. I would like to know other answer to that as well.

Is there an optimal way to improve affinity with characters? I've neglected a lot of my characters outside of Elma, Lin, and L.

I hadn't fiddled with the menus enough to realise this was a thing!

Primordia 82%
Noctilum 83%
Oblivia 67%

I love that you consider yourself a noob with all shops at max rank, you must have spent about 60 hours in the game.

Don't get me wrong, the question is legit, it says more about the game than you.

lol, I just finished the story today at around 125 hours :p

Just lots of things aren't really explained very well, last time I checked the crafting section it was pretty empty, checking now post game it did fill up a few more things.

Crafting stuff to go in slots feels kind of weird and half baked.

Just endless menu trees to go through and then you get to the bottom and there's nothing there, or a bunch of greyed out stuff.

Really needs a "sort by ones I can actually craft." I can't be arsed to dig through all these only to discover that I can't make anything, time and time again.

Apparently XBX has dropped out of the UK top 40 charts a week after debuting at 28. Bit bummed to hear that, but at least there's a bit of silver lining:

1) XBX is currently No.4 among Wii U titles
2) It had a stronger debut compared to Xenoblade

Holy shit, these rewards. I guess I have to complete it now...

Wait what? Or did you mean Xenoblade, cause the PR said that

(also EU's sales for that game will come from France+Germany...and to some extent we can already figure out total PAL region sales, speaking of which hey someone from Europe or Australia wanna update us on Volkampf)

Any tips to level characters lagging behind? I'm only 22 but I have yet to use the ugly twins or Dougly so I guess I should put some work into that.

Ok, today I did every quest I had in my log outside of the 30% of Oblivia one :p
Time for bed.

Tomorrow I shall get Oblivia to 25% so I can start chapter 7!

Oh shit, yeah, sorry, meant Xenoblade.

Worry about it when you've got a squad of level 30 Skells. Then go fight 40+ enemies with a low-level tagging behind and they will catch up real fast.

Okay, two questions if you guys can help me:

1. Anyone have art/skill suggestions for Irina? Shes seems awesome, but I don't know what to use with her. Are the healing arts actually worth it?

2. What is the item on the right side of the gamepad that looks like a document? its under the keyboard button

Anyone on this?

Had enough money to drop on two more Skells ( The last heavy one) So now my crew is rolling with two of those and the free one they give you. God bless the AI partners for always timing it so we dont lose Insurance on those other two Skells.

Tried to do the cheap level up tactic with the Lv 56 robots off the coast but if my AI whiffs even ONE of the scythe back hits we are done for. Deciding to hold that off and grind on the stuff in the beast cave.

Anyone on this?

I like Irina as a support/debuff character. I don't think her healing arts are worth it, but she's got a support Art that gives everyone else on the team TP, which I really like. Her various debuffs are all really good too, and Brainjack is tons of fun.

Really, just give her an assault rifle with increased TP gain, and watch her go to town.

Then you're way ahead of me, and if you're a noob I must be a total dweeb ^^

But yes, some of the systems could be better introduced, combos and overdrives took me forever to get, I was sure that a melee combo was when I completed a soul voice with a melee attack.

Was looking forward half a year, then decided to sell my WiiU. And now I am here, still a WiiUowner, and have no idea what to do...

I was in the exact same boat until I bought this game. Now, the WII U isn't being sold unless the NX can play WII U games (whenever that comes out).

Ok seriously wtf? Am I missing something or is this game really poorly designed? I'm doing the affinity mission called the repair job where I have to go on a fetch quest for 3 different items. The game doesn't specify the exact location of these items. Do they really expect you to search the entire maps listed for hours for those items? You can't even cancel the mission if you don't want to go through that. Is this really how the game is designed or am I missing something?

The game's a bit of an acquired taste I feel. Look at some gameplay vids and whatnot first before you decide. It's a really deep game that may take some significant time before it really starts getting to you. Don't go in expecting it to be like the original Xenoblade, I'll say that much. I still love it though, but I've seen plenty complaints which are understandable.

That mission gives a lot of people trouble early on. You can look at the spreadsheet in the OP to find the materials.

I just did the normal mission "Rescue of the Ensconced Citadel"

... what?
I just met another xenoform and I'm surprised that it's not part of the story mission which caught me off guard for this mission!

Which items? There are a few steps in the quest. I assume it's this part?

"Use FrontierNav to gather five white cometites."
"Gather two energy tubes from puges in Primordia."
"Gather four cruise deflector AiRs in Oblivia."

Puges are the droid robots belonging to the Prone aliens. You can go back to the site of one of the earlier chapters to kill them and get those drops. Alternatively you can go to the multiplayer lobby area of the barracks and buy the tubes from the console there, I think. Uses reward tickets.

You likely haven't been to Oblivia yet. The cruise deflectors are really easy to get, they're common items from the blue diamonds right at the entrance to Oblivia. Just in the course of walking into where the game says the items are, you'll probably get them by accident.

The white cometites are the worst part. You can only get them as timed deliveries from FrontierNav, from mining sites you have set up, specifically at FN Site 115 and FN Site 118 in Primordia, or at FN Site 219 in Noctilum. You just have to get lucky, every ~15 minutes of active play time (I don't think you can just leave the game on overnight). When I started this mission I already had 2 of the 5 you need, it took a long time to resolve itself.

Everyone hates this quest and gets tripped up by it. It teaches the lesson to always, always save your game before accepting an affinity mission, since they can't be dropped.

Also...if you had simply said that you were hungry instead of offering to help, the quest would've ended immediately.

It's easy enough to look on the Internet to find the material locations. But the point is why should you have to use a guide to avoid wasting hours on a tedious fetch quest? What rubbish game design. Are there alot of other missions like this?

Just save before accepting an affinity quest, and don't save until you're done with it. If at any point it seems too tedious and terrible, reload.

There are sometimes hints as to where you can find stuff if you talk to the right people. But yeah it's old school on that aspect.

I suspect the idea was for players to use the messages on frontiernav to help each other find rare and difficult items. Unfortunately, the community didn't quite take to it, though you do occasionally see such helpful posts

Are the thunderstorms in Oblivia supposed to just slowly kill you?

I've seen 3 now while I'm just exploring and I either have to warp someone else or wait until it kills me, very annoying.

Well, I didn't have trouble with that mission because I took it on much further in the game. There's not really any other missions like this but it's easy to just ensure you're overleveled to make sure something like that doesn't happen again.

The message system seems weird anyway. Does it always show squad messages in real time? If so, some guy was really upset yesterday, kept regularly getting messages that just said "you guys suck" presumably because nobody was doing the squad mission. This wasn't the miiverse broadcast to everyone thing, it looked like it was the 32 person "local" chat, but the same message kept coming up so I wondered if the game was treating it like the repeating global messages.
