You know, I'm sitting here watching UNIST, and like, Idk how they'd release this update on console.
At this point I don't even care if I have to wait, I just want to know for sure it's actually coming.
Am I reading this wrong or does this Chinese SF stream have 109K viewers? 0_o

Rages out after 1st game and goes on a 19 minute rant about the FGC
And he gets his burst read.
I think the easiest way for FB/ArcSys to do it without looking completely absurd would be to release UNIEST on the platforms UNIEL didn't come out on -- PS4, Vita and PC-ahaha that last one is never happening. You know, I'm sitting here watching UNIST, and like, Idk how they'd release this update on console.

Difference in culture is massssssivveeeeee
Isn't SF4 supposed to be full of OSes? Wouldn't it make sense for him to be all over that simply because of the game he plays?
I don't think is is a good example.
Daigo's played anime before I thought? Isn't there a HnK video of that one Japanese commentator shouting UMEHARAAAAAAA over him playing?

I think for the most part the DOA community lives only in the community thread. As far as I can tell they mostly discuss their favorite costumes.

Did they improve the situation of the bottom tier characters in this update?
Does anyone other than ShinMaruku even care about the game here?
Will Tokido win a tournament![]()
Yeah. The game is still really similar in some ways. Top tiers like Gord/Carmine got fair nerfs but are still super good, Merkava got away being the same character with wuality of life buffs, etc. Seth got lots of nice stuff, Byakuya looks /insane/ now, Akatsuki got lots of good things, etc. Chaos still looks kinda poopy but Idk enough about him. He got buffs but I dunno what will matter. Anybody lower than A tier got buffs, anybody higher received slight nerfs or stayed mostly the same.
Vatista is intact and maybe even better though which terrifies me. She's so hard to play though so I wonder when it will happen.
I do, but see no reason to post about it since it just brings out the people to shit on it.

How's the PC online DoA?
It's not yet in the game last time I checked.
How's the PC online DoA?
Well it is way more complicated than SF4 at the beginner level. Even just looking at all the stuff in the tutorial it's easy to see why someone new to the series is overwhelmed.
Is it really new? He said they showed a new move which looks like seismo, but that's his V-Skill and was already in the reveal trailer!I hope Zhi uploads the SFV video. I want to see some new Necalli footage.

Edit: losers final already?!
Some people just have issues playing slower paced fighters and SF4 is their poster boy. I've played all sorts of fighters for about 15 years and I can't think of any fighter that has given me more trouble than SF4. SFV on the other hand? Let me put it this way. I wouldn't buy a PS4 for Xrd, but I'd definitely like to buy a 700+ laptop that can play SFV well.SF4 is pretty easy to pick up due to it's slow pace relative to almost any other fighter and offense being weak- much of the time you're not in any immediate danger, and you have time to think through what you should be doing. Even if GG had a similar level of complexity (I think it's a fair bit more complex than SF4 but some people apparently disagree), you have implement what you've learned more dynamically at a much faster pace which makes it inherently tougher, all other things being equal.
Though, imo the biggest impediment to picking up GG is the fact that many of the players you face have been playing the series for a decade and will just plain wreck you for a while- SF4 was a pretty clean slate where skills from previous entries in the series only carried over in a basic/general way whereas xrd is just the next in a line of GG games mechanically-speaking, where being a seasoned GG player gives you a massive head start.

I can't watch that with audio since I'm at work, but from what I've heard, this guy strikes me as the type of fighting game player who picks up a game, goes to training mode, picks a character, and just practices combos as opposed to the fundamentals and spacing of the character he picked. He'll practice this "hype" combo for a couple hours and think he's hot shit, and then lose to stuff like low forward+fireball, and he just doesn't get it.
After all, he knows this hype combo. How can he lose to somebody who doesn't play like that, and just spams low forward+fireball? He'll lose like that in all the fighting games he plays, and he still just doesn't get it.
So, Rising Thunder comes out, and this is the one fighting game that this guy thinks he'll finally beast in with his hype combos. Well, he loses to the same shit he loses to in other games, and that's the straw that breaks the camel's back. He rants and he raves, but he still just doesn't get it.
Without having listened to that video, that's how I interpret it.
Hnm, I have always taken the opposite view since I have always found getting the combos in games (particularly in SFIV) to be harder than its worth. Its more fun for me tonjust try to constantly win neutral and rack up damage that way.I can't watch that with audio since I'm at work, but from what I've heard, this guy strikes me as the type of fighting game player who picks up a game, goes to training mode, picks a character, and just practices combos as opposed to the fundamentals and spacing of the character he picked. There will be a fully free-to-play version of SFV within a year of the game's initial release. Probably LoL-style, with a rotation of free characters (maybe 4 at a time that changes every 2 weeks). Anybody wanna bet this won't happen?

Yes, because you can get those same people doing a steam sale for $10 gateway on the initial release. There will be a fully free-to-play version of SFV within a year of the game's initial release. Sony doesn't care about those people. Not that much anyway.Yes, because you can get those same people doing a steam sale for $10 gateway on the initial release.
