First Forza Motorsport 6 Direct Feed at 60 fps(Gamersyde)

I'm not trying to sound like an ass here but how did they get this running on an XB1? At 1080p and 60 no less.

Lots of hard work and smart engineers.

Looks to be in pretty good shape. It does however look "cartoony" at times. Can't really put my finger on it.

It's honestly the incredible wax on every car in the game. Honestly I think some games don't allow color to pop as much as it should.

Forza is realistic when it comes to a car sitting in a bright day and waxed perfectly.

There were 1080P and 60fps launch titles on PS3 almost 8 years ago. Not downplaying the visuals for this at all but people have to realize that this is a design choice and not directly hardware related. You can see the asset quality of the environments are quite low. Especially at the beginning of the video. The backgrounds could pass off as last gen.

That's why the whole comparisons between other games are dumb. DriveClub, Forza and PCars are trying to achieve different results with different engines and goals, etc.

Looks great! I normally buy every other forza game but it seems like I'll have to make an exception for this iteration.

Yeah I want this so badly. This + the Elite X1 controller is going to be bliss!

Forza is the reason I ordered the controller, can't wait!
Will the elite controller improve the racing game experience? I was under the impression it was more suited for the fps crowd.

The sticks will definitely.

Wouldn't be surprised if the triggers had finer control too.

Sidewinder, a test track in forza 3 had 8 ribbons because it was a huge clump of different corners a few miles long which could easily be cut up, sadly it was also one of the most boring tracks in the game.

I hated this track. It was so unnecessarily long. It looked like it was designed by a 5 year-old who was scribbling on a piece of paper.

I'd imagine the paddles would be quite nice for drifting and other times you need the E-brake... the thumbstick sensitivity curves and the hair triggers are also things I could see as useful for some gamers.

Using the paddles for clutch and shifting might be pretty awesome.

nope not you. The splashup occurs next to vehicles in various gifs.

Changes throughout the race and hopefully realistically.

Oh so I guess it's like the weather is determined before the race starts and doesn't change.

The effects look nice anyways so I'm not bothered too much by it

Well Sony pulled off lots of miracles with the PS3 last gen. Sega did the same with the Saturn. If you have a great development team and an awful lot of money to throw at something you can get extremely good results. But how many publishers out there today develop all the way down to the metal? And throw tons of money into a development for just one platform? Not many. They'd rather make something that runs just competently across many platforms. We never really get to see what these machines can fully do.
1st party make these machines shine though. Its not really shocking to see what Turn 10 are doing. Its sort of expected. They are quality afterall.

So last gen

And I guess you never played Forza 5.

I second the Maple Valley love... wish it would return.Game looks amazing... why is there never room for more than one racing game in some people's minds.

It is OK to say a game looks great on a platform you do not like. I am so excited where this Gen is going... for all systems.

Not super impressed by the visuals myself. It looks good, do not want to downplay that, and the rain looks fantastic, by far the most impressive aspect of the new visuals, and 60 FPS is awesome, but there is something off overall.

It feels very sterile is the best way I can put what I am feeling. Not very stylistic.

You have to sacrifice a lot, A LOOOOOOT, in order to make a game run at 60fps.

Yet Forza 6 looks amazing even with that.

You have to sacrifice a lot, A LOOOOOOT, in order to make a game run at 60fps.

And you have to sacrifice even more if you pretend to run at locked 60 fps, which basically means that the game runs above those 60 fps all the time to make framerame drops unnoticeable.

Very few people can give the properly merit to this achievement, but it's an astonishing experience that has not been equaled by any other developer in the genere yet.

Which PS3 launch games ran at 1080p/60fps? I'd genuinely like to know.

Didn't T10 help design the XB1 architecture in some capacity? At least consult on their requirements.

Looks great but a bit cartoony. Reminds me of Outrun.
It looks like a Sega arcade racing game on current gen hardware.

I've been playing the Forza series since Forza 2 and the cartoony graphics really start to annoy me. The IQ looks a lot better compared to Forza 5 however.

I prefer the graphics of PCars, even at 900p on Xbox One. The lighting looks a lot more natural.

Think the dude meant GT7. If they add dynamics to that game the frame rate is probably gonna be all over the place yet again too. Then Forza 6 is gonna start look even better with its 60 frames. But still it'll be great to see dynamic weather in GT7 if they decide to go that route. Both racing series are sweet for different reasons.

Is the auction house going to make it in this time? Remembers buying liveries in Forza4's auction house. Man people had dirty imaginations for paint jobs back then. LOL. Good times. Too bad Microsoft outlawed that sort of thing.
