What was your system seller for next gen?

WiiU: Wonderful 101 & Xenoblade X
XboxOne: anticipation of Scalebound & Quantum Break. Also needed for the next Deus Ex, which better not be exclusive to PS4 for some stupid reasoon

There is no system seller for me as MGS:PP and XV are coming to PC.

I've had every playstation since the PS1. I don't see myself getting one now. Those are the only two games that interest me, that, and a new MGRR, which is also on PC.

When was this announced? It will probably happen, but not any time close the console releases.

PS4: Last of Us Remaster was the first game that really made me glad I bought it, didn't play on PS3 and really, really enjoyed PS4 version. D3, Destiny and GTA5 have been the three that convinced me I made the right choice. Bloodborne I hope is something I can enjoy (not a horror fan). All the Telltale games for $44 a few weeks ago is enough to last me the rest of the year honestly.

Xbox One: I bought a sunset overdrive bundle because microsoft dropped the price $50 and the online store did another $100 promo during thanksgiving so $250 for a bone+game was a steal, but honestly I'm indifferent to the system. I enjoy forza 5 and FH2 but if my xbox one stopped working tomorrow I wouldn't buy a new one, unlike my PS4 which I would replace asap.

PS1: Tenchu, Resident Evil
PS2: n/a
PS3: Motorstorm & Resistance (by the time it came out in Europe I was able to get a bundle with both of them)
PS4: Killzone: SF & Infamous: SS (If it hadn't been for those I probably would have waited)

Well I had a 360 day 1 and after a generation that took way too long I was ready for a push in graphics. That was more than enough to sell me.

Got all systems and am happy as a clam.

The only thing disappointing this Gen is the state of disrepair some of these titles launch in. They get there eventually, but this is the only Gen I can think of where you had to second guess being a software early adopter.

it was going to be Bloodborne, but 1 game for a whole year till UC6 just isn't enough.

will borrow a PS4 from a friend.

he wont be playing anything till the new AC comes out.

Zelda & Xenoblade Chronicles X for the WiiU

Uncharted 4 & Persona 5 for PS4

????? for XboxOne

Can't think of a single anticipated game on the Xbox that is exclusive....

Isn't it "current gen" yet?

PS4 was honestly an investment for me; I got one for no real reason except for being prepared whenever games I wanted would come out. I was glad that I got to play TLOU:R on it, however. The killer apps I'm currently waiting on are Kingdom Hearts III, Persona 5, and Final Fantasy XV. I got a Vita because I wanted to believe in the Sony who believes in me.

I got a Wii U because it was the Wind Waker HD bundle, and I'm rarely rational when it comes to Zelda merchandise. I was also investing in the next obligatory Zelda title. I got a 3DS for a similar reason; I wanted the A Link Between Worlds edition 3DS XL along with ALBW itself. I also got a Majora's Mask 3D edition 3DS XL with MM3D itself. I love Zelda.

I've never actually been this rash with buying systems in any previous gen.

Wii U because Nintendo games
Finally got a PS4 2 month ago ( with TLOU & Alien Isolation ) in anticipation of FFXV demo ( hyped for Type-0 too !! )

Cant believe i'm finally gonna play it tomorrow after all these years. HYPE.

I'm also enjoying a shit tons of game on my PS4, Mostly addicted to DriveClub and playing it right now
and for the next 4-5 hours definitely

Still no plan for the Xbox One for now.

The Witcher 3, then Bloodborne.

Wolfenstein and Alien Isolation are definitely games I'll get when I upgrade, but they don't push me to buy a new console by themselves.

Looking far ahead, the real must-haves for me are Fallout 4, The Division, Cyberpunk 2077, the next Deus Ex, and the next Mass Effect. It will soon be a great time to be a sci-fi RPG fan.

3DS: Pokemon XY (put so much time into it and never even beat the last gym)

Wii U: Mario 3D World (I stopped playing it 1 hour in due to other games)

XB1: Plants vs Zombies local co-op (played it a lot)

PS4: Destiny (GAF clan hype...sold the game after a week)

Vita: Destiny remote play (see above)

PC: Microsoft Office (still use it to this day!)

I kinda like the Vita the best. Downloading 40+ games to it, day one, from having PS+ for multiple years might be a large reason as to why.

I suppose you mean current gen

Wii U: Pikmin 3
Xbone: Scalebound
PS4: ...
3DS: A Link Between Worlds
Vita: Danganronpa

Dead rising 3 for my x1. Gonna get a Wii U prob when zebra comes out, and Idk when I'll get a ps4 . Haven't liked anything there yet but I'm holding out hope for a new God of War.

I'm excited for the advent of procedurally-generated-content titles this gen, and No Man's Sky is the first bird in this regard. So it's my system seller in a way, but I expect more to come.

As per WiiU, of course that was a no-brainer.

Honestly, Killzone sold me day one. I have always enjoyed the series. No regrets.

MK8 (and the free game, plus a target buy 2 get 1 free promotion at the time) sold me on the Wii U.

Still waiting to see how Halo 5 turns out, that could very well sell me on an XB1.

None yet, really. I got a PS4 as a gift and will be grabbing Bloodborne, will likely jump into the Xbone with the launch of Rock Band 4 and Scalebound. I already bought Sunset Overdrive and Master Chief Collection almost a year ago thanks to that Gamestop giveaway.

The Wii U however I was ready to jump in with everything offered since I love my Nintendo exclusives. Also, Bayonetta 2.

Technically no game, because I haven't bought a current gen system yet. I do have a Wii U, which I got as a birthday present, though and I really wanted one for Splatoon, so... Splatoon? Although the Wii U library has a lot to offer to me even if Splatoon wasn't a thing, like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Xenocross, Donkey Kong Country TF, etc.

I already have a ps4 so I can't say for sure but Bloodborne would be it. As for Xbone, I'll buy one when Halo 5 is coming out. As for Nintendo, it's hard to say because they make so many system sellers I can't even think of one. As for PC, nothing at the moment. But that's not gonna make me stop upgrading it for general use and playing older games at great fps.

When was this announced? It will probably happen, but not any time close the console releases.

It hasn't been announced, but they've been releasing the XIII games in decreasing increments. Took 4 years for 13 to come to PC, roughly 3 for the sequel, and ~ a year for the last one. MGS is launching 2 weeks after consoles for PC. I expect they'll give XV some breathing room for console sales but it'll be in the same boat, probably < a year. What's another year when you've waited, like, close to a decade? Square needs the money.

I got my WiiU when Mario Kart 8 was released, that promotion made me get it. But I really wanted to play the new Zelda and Smash Bros U.

For PS4 will be FFXV whenever it is released. Hopefully not too soon not too far from now. Also, I want to play Bloodborne but i can wait a little. Just a little.

Bayonetta 2, but the fact Wii U saw several other great games in the past 18 months definitely helped as well.

Might have waited for Xenoblade otherwise though.

So far nothing on Xone or PS4 that really interests me.

I kind of knew I was getting the Wii U because that's the only place I can play Zelda and Metroid but I wasn't sold until I saw Wind Waker HD. I bought a U a year later.

PS4 was a birthday gift but I'm sure I would have bought one eventually, just not yet. Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV are the games I look forward to the most.

Hype.

I was so god damn hyped and ready for next-gen that I just jumped in and bought it right away. The only game I played in the first month of release was Assassin's Creed 4 and then I went back to PS3/360 until Infamous came out.

I actually won out picking it up early though since here in the cold north of Canada the price actually went UP post launch from $399 to $449

Got my Wii U for Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade, and the eventual Metroid game. W101 and Hyrule Warriors are awesome too.

Got my PS4 for Bloodborne and the eventual slew of JRPGs that will end up on it.

Will eventually get an Xbox One when Scalebound release draws near.

Last gen was just too long and I wanted a new generation console as soon as they were available.

I pre-ordered my PS4 minutes after the E3 price announcement.

I've had absolutely no regrets, it's so far been a worthy successor to the Xbox 360.

Wii U: WWHD (and I wanted the Zelda Gamepad)
PS4: GTA5 (even though I already played it on PS3) and Second Son
XBO: Don't have one yet, but I want one for FM5, FH2, SO, etc.
3DS: Uhh, can't remember...
Vita: P4G and Tearaway

A couple of things:

- noticing a general trend of brick and mortar stores carrying less physical copies of last gen "bridge games" (games that come out on both generations, i.e. Destiny, Evil Within, etc), coupled with lots of clearance sales on used copies of last gen titles. It's clear that retail is shifting to current gen.

- Playstation Now

- No Man's Sky

- retroactively:The Last of Us Remastered

Ocarina of Time 3D. Kind of wish I had waited for the price drop.

As soon as I can afford it, I'll get a Wii U for Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros., and Bayonetta 2.

Purchased both a 3DS and Wii U at launch because of future titles. With Bloodborne's upcoming release, I intend to pick up a PS4 relatively soon.

I bought a Wii U but I'm pretty sure that Super Mario 3D World reaffirmed my happiness with the purchase. Every game I have for it I love, from W101, Bayo 2, DKC:TF, Pikmin 3, I'm not sure what specific game I bought just for the system. But I'm definitely looking forward to the 2015 line up. Xenoblade X, Splatoon, Zelda and Starfox U.

I was going to buy a PS4 just for MGSV but I guess not anymore since I have a rig that can max it out on PC. If Gravity Rush 2 was for some reason PS4 only then I'd buy it. But as of right now I'll pass on a PS4.
