I know Fuerte is a bad match for Gief, but I don't feel too bad for Snake. His character automatically gets to control the pace of the match against many others just by having an SPD, so now he has to face this random ass cartoon character and play his game.

I missed a lot regarding how Brawl's meta progressed post 2010, but I'm very curious to know what specifically is showing through in the play now.

Post 2010 brawl was just campy as fuck. Which is why the game died. I think that style is carrying over to smash 4 since it's mostly brawl players making the move to the new game. They're dictating the current metagame. I think there's some merit to more aggressive/offensive play, but it hasn't been shown that much yet.

Ughhhhh, that's horrible sounding. I got my first real taste of this when my brother decided to play the most ResidentSleeper camp edge battle with me out of nowhere and I swear to you I felt like I saw a dark side of the game that would almost make me give up on Smash in general just because of how potent that nonsense is.
