PSN server issues

Seems like they are trying to implement PSN username change (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm having an issue where the library is crashing back to the dynamic main menu every time I pick certain games. Half the games in my library automatically closes out when I click the icon. Can't even download or start certain games from it.

Pretty sure this is server related- seems like it's trying to pull down some data for the game selected in the library but crashes out immediately when I select it.
 
I've had the friend list not load for a few weeks now. Really regretting jumping ship from Xbox now. I guess the sunset overdrive bundle I've ordered had better live up to the hype. Sony really really need to pull their socks up. I love their system but the PSN is badly letting them down.
 
I keep telling you people to keep tweeting this issues to Sony execs. This beyond unacceptable. I love the fact that these threads get bumped but it needs to be accompanied by some sort of action.

PSN going down for a few hours a day a few times a week is not cool
 
It seems like this is related to peak hours on Europe. I say that because it seems to me this time of day is the worst for the PSN, and this coincides with peak hours for Europe.

Yup, shortly after Destiny launched it started to get worse.

It was never really this bad on PS3, the only problems I remember ever having (other than the hack/down times for maintenance) were trophies taking really long to sync, but that was very rare.

They really need to get it together now that they expect you to pay to play online.

I agree, in general my PSN multiplayer issues are by far the worst at this time of day, I had all sorts of trouble with Madden at this time of day and very little issue a few hours later.

who are these execs? the only person I can think of is Shu and he's from the games department. at least with MS you have Spencer and Hyrb to complain to. the hardware side of PS is faceless
 
I just booted up to see if the DC patch is up, and greeted with PSN down msg /sigh

Well booting up Xbone to see if the October update is done or not.

This is ridiculous though now, is anybody from Sony gonna come out and address this issue? Can GAF do anything? It's the biggest gaming forum maybe just so somebody high up takes notice of this shit. Shu, Adam Boyes, not arsed just somebody tell us why is it's so bad right now. Ps3 was better and it was free
 
Down for me in the UK. Damn PSN has really gone to hell the last 3 weeks.

Anyways it's not so bad
Driveclub doesn't need PSN

I meant more along the lines of the constant day to day instability. Both consoles have had their royal fuck ups so I'd say that month of Live being down is cancelled by Sony's credit card fiasco.

When it comes to just regular every day dependability PSN is a major piece of shit.
 
Disappointing, the state of PSN has been pretty much unacceptable these past few week, especially considering it's now a paid service for online play... Wish there was some sort of NoDRM style outcry to the relevant people on twitter to really get their attention and get them to improve their service.
 
My favorite part of how busted PSN is:
Even though I have like 4+ years of PS+ paid for in advance (from CC points) the Playstion Store for PS4 still displays adds telling me to join now! It barely acknowledges that I am a PS+ member. The only way I can get to the full list of this month's free games is to "view all" and sort through to find the ones marked as free. Going to the "Free Games" section just has the full screen page of "Subscribe to PS+ now!" and then the 2nd page has a few adds and 1 of the free titles.... GET IT TOGETHER PSN WHAT THE FUCK
