I bought the set, really like them.

I really like these.

THE YELLOW KING HAS ARISEN AND EATEN TIME.

A friend at school thinks maggie is in on it. Why did she meet rust in 2012? I assumed she was gonna apologize. Maybe she is part of cult that her dad is in. Why else didn't she lash out at Audrey when she came home after having sex with two older men? Why else did you think Maggie fuckd Rust? to get him off the case. maggie knows that marty would lash out on rust and that would sever their relationship.

yellow king? nah man, its about the yellow queen.

As I said before,

The Yellow King is probably Maggie's father. Maggie is trying to protect him. That's why she never liked Marty working on the case, and wanted him to pass the case off.

Or she was just pissed that her husband was not spending enough time with her or at home mixed in with his cheating.

I just realized that some people are probably going to tune in to HBO tomorrow only to be exposed to the ending of the True Detective finale because they forgot to adjust their clock. Such a tragedy.

I just remembered the scene with the daughter and her dolls... That's significant, or a red herring.

Yea, it could be either. The drawings and her incident later on with the 2 guys are also a part of that. Could be something left an impression on her from when she was little or just the way she grew up.

So finally got time to sit down and watch ep 7.

Was a very good episode. I think the show will end with rust and Marty catching the yellow king. It turns out to be Marty's father in law and he was using the lawn mower man to bring children to his cult.

Sheriff Childress was involved in the cult and so was Tuttle but the father in law was the cult leader.

The reason why I say this is I think the show will end with Marty attending his daughters art show, after the father in law is arrested, and seeing a painting of the spiral. And that is how it ends, Marty realising that her actions were a result of being abused by her grandfathers cult.

I'm going to rematch the whole series tomorrow before the finale. Will be great to pick up all the little clues.

Why wouldn't Ginger or his crew come back at Rust after he a)double-crossed them and b)killed their meth cook?
They only person who knows they were double crossed (it sure looked like the other members of the raid got killed) or that Rust was actually a cop was Ginger, who it sounds like was face down dead in a ditch. At best the rest of the gang would be chasing after Crash, a guy who doesn't exist.

Was it implied that Cohle killed Ginger? I assumed he just threw him to the side of the road tied up, but alive. Isn't that a crazy thing not to show on camera?

Probably another unimportant clue, but the day that the drug store robber "committed suicide" was 04/01/02 on the security camera...or April Fool's Day.

i think it was implied, yes. hypothetically, let's say he is alive somehow. What does Ginger know about Rust to track him down? And if they did find out his true identity, are they really going to kill a detective? Murdering cops is the worst thing you can do if you're trying to stay under the radar to avoid police attention.

OK...but you can only spoil things that have already happened.

Spoiler tags on TV threads are generally for things which have not happened on the show yet. If people are discussing stuff in previews, interviews talking about future episode content, and so on, that goes into spoiler tags. Everything else is not meant to be tagged. If an episode has aired, stuff is openly discussed.

Please adjust your tags accordingly. Thanks.
