I think Rust takes the fall, so Marty can go free. His job is done. So he goes to prison . . . and there he receives a call from a man named Toretto. They need a man like him to track down a killer. A killer who killed one of their own, a brother, family. Two days later he disappears and there's a car-sized hole on the prison wall.

MM announced as the newest addition to the Fast & Furious cast.

Edit: Guys, Tom Cruise/Val Kilmer True Detective would be awesome.

2012 Cohle.
"This guy lived longer than he hoped. Fallen prey to his own beliefs. More cynical, angrier, he's had to endure the existence of this shitstorm called life. A little ragged, more rough edges, living in a place where he can manage himself. Not too close. He's not in the CID. But he's not in Alaska. He's a guy who's resigned to his indentured servitude of being alive. But he despises the sentence and the penance. He will not accept defeat. He's not going become a madman, he's not going to kill himself. He wrestles the devil every day, and he realizes that this may last a lot longer than he ever hoped for."
:*( love this character...

also damn last episode was amazing... but really pissed about the ending don't really think the writer had to slap us in the face with the LM man.. smh..

love it though.. WTF at the last ep... why isn't it 2+ hours long... :(
gonna miss this... The first 4 eps was the best though... the pace and tone was perfect...

not a spoiler just something I think will happen

also sadly I think rust will get his wish... :*( he's going to be real pissed at himself for not knowing about the LM man...

Is the audio sync slightly off? I had the same problem with GoT S3 last year. It's only off by 0.5 second or something, but still noticeable.

Is this a general HBO problem or something? :(

That sounds like something's wrong with your cable/sattelite. Audio half a second off would make stuff pretty unwatchable.

Started watching TD yesterday, and now I'm up to date. Gosh, what a great show I was missing! I can hardly wait for Sunday night.

"Top 10 best/worst ideas for TD S2 pairings" could be fun.

Without knowing what season two will be about it's hard to say what actors would be in the best/worst position for primary roles in it, yet, in saying that, Adam Sandler with Rob Schnieder (really, Adam with anybody would do) is not something I would like to see happen in this series.

It's probably less, but still noticeable. It really is strange because I only get this with HBO shows. I wouldn't say it makes stuff unwatchable, but once I see it... I kinda keep noticing it and it takes away from the show.

I'll raise. Will Ferrell and Andy Samberg.

best:
Jake Gyllenhaal and Meryl Streep Detective Loki origins, in which Meryl Streep would be and older partner that assume a maternal figure to the orphan Loki...(Prisioners reference)

I know it's a bit impossible but i would love to see this happen.

worst:
Eddie Murphy and Jackie Chan, I would literally cut my wrists after the first minute

How about some David Duchovny and... I don't really watch enough tv to make a wacky match for him. Hugh Laurie? Awww yea. I think that goes under both best and worst.

True Detective has to be the most complicated tv series I've ever watched. ep.7 had me legit confused for most of it. So much goes on in every scene its so hard to piece everything together. I'm definitely gonna have to rewatch it after the finale to truly understand how everything goes down.

Yeah. I honestly just want to rewatch it just to see how it's all set up too, and all this. I pretty much decided from the first episode I was buying this boxed set. I hope it's cool looking.

Hmm...since there was mention of them being 2 women....

The Good:

-Zoe Bell and Rosario Dawson

-Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman

-Gillian Anderson and Vivica A. Fox

The Bad:

-Kat Dennings and Gillian Jacobs

If it's gonna be 2 guys still. I'm #team Idris Elba and Alexander Skarsgard.

Jeff Goldblum and Kevin Spacey would be sweet.

House of Cards has a third season coming, right? I mean, yeah Spacey would be awesome, but I don't know how realistic that is.

I'd like to see more situations like McConaughey, where the actor's ability takes everyone by surprise. Yes, I know people who have been paying attention to him for the past couple of years knew what to expect, but I'd imagine most people who started watching the show (including myself) had no idea what he was going to do.

I'd love to see Tom Hanks as a veteran detective, and then someone new as his young partner.

What about.

Jesse Eisenberg:

Michael Cera:

Set in Baltimore

lol

I thought Eisenberg was great in The Social Network and Zombieland, but I don't know what kind of range he has. He always seems to play more or less the same character.

edit: I'm going to laugh when season 2 is set in some small European town with two unknown (at least in America) European actors.

Well, all people are doing is listing pairs of names. So by that standard, a pair of established television actors would be very disappointing.

There was a time when the current actors of True Detective would be laughed at. Im open to whatever, and I just hope next season is half as good as this season.
