Recently, Bungie hasn't been announcing/showing the maps until right before release. That was the case with the last Halo 2 maps (announced a week before release) and the Heroic Map Pack (announced what, two weeks before release?). With a timeframe of "spring" I think it's more likely that we'll hear more details about the patch/update to the game, if anything.

That's my hunch/hope/dream.

I want to hear about the update/patch too, but it's been sort of hard for me to get a picture in my head of the maps through the description, so I'd really love to see just one screen of each map. I don't expect to, though. Still, Stinkles said there will be a ton of good stuff in the update, so I guess I can dream, right?

Yeah, I expect it'll be AU stuff. Hopefully a list of the major changes.
 
Nothing concrete on the maps today - but some very interesting general stuff and a bit about the autoupdate too.

pictures take a long time to load on my computer. Don't have a good connection.
 
I'm down to play some DLC or ranked Big Team Battle, reminds me of BTB from H2 though but maybe that will all get sorted out as the game/network figures out who's connection can host 16 people and who's can't.

One of the maps, actually one of Luke and I’s favorites, the oft-mentioned “Purple Reign” is being held back after class, so to speak and will not make it into the next DLC pack. Booo! That’s the bad news. The good news is that it’s being replaced by something potentially much more exciting – a map we haven’t really spoken about because it was a ways behind.

Great stuff on getting the MLG Guys in there to help fix the melee!

Interesting points on the fixes and how they test it.

The first time I read it, I interpreted the part about all "Front Facing Melees" to mean they were taking assinations out of the game, I was pissed! :lol

Forgery playlists? Most interesting.
 
Let me tell you a few other Luke-isms before we move onto new business: He yells at his own teammates that they suck during games. He uses the Needler constantly. He can’t play oddball. He smells faintly of rabbit, or other gamey meat. His car is full of old newspapers, like a homeless guy. He can't eat Fatburger or he faints. Did he beat me? That’s irrelevant.

you mean neighbor? or are you not allowed to say who all went? i heard that neighbor did, and then probably an ogre and then somebody from carbon, probably ghostayame or shockwave i'm guessing? that would explain why they haven't been playing much

sad to hear that purple reign is delayed but there's really no rush anyways, considering how many map packs are coming i'm thinking everybody's going to be happy eventually

Why?? They might do to chill out like what they did to lockout. Plus the remake in foundry isn't that bad actually, I was surprised at the quality. They changed a few things, but if your not lazy, you could go in and make it a exact replica easily, barring grabbing sniper through wall because I don't think it's possible to do that.

EDIT: I just found out that the guy actually has 2 versions, an exact replica and the MLG Style one which was what I was playing.
