I hardly get a chance to try out the real Foundry maps. When we're in a party big enough for 4v4, at least one guy doesn't have the DLC. I wish Bungie would pick some of the best Foundry maps and put them in a playlist. Any chance of that happening?

I think a playlist update was planned for January so it might occur then. Though it's getting just a little late in the month and they haven't said anything in a month, so the playlist update might be coming later.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a Foundry and/or Community Forged Maps playlist in the future but I'd lay outs that it won't be until either the first map pack is free or the auto-update has come out. hmm, now that I think of it they might wait until after the a.u. to see how it changes gameplay on those types of maps.

melee change? I was playing today and as I was assault rifleing guys, dying to melee cause they got that first bullet in, I thought to myself, whats the point?

Will we have a reveal of Bungie's next project this year or next year? I see the R2 thread and I want to feel the same those ppl who like that game are feeling. Will it be this year Stinkles?

Apparently a screenshot of Halo: Chronicles (PJ's Halo project) leaked. I'm calling fake on this one, because this screen looks a lot like EA's upcoming FPS Tiberium.

EDIT: Just saw GT TV on Spike and this screen IS Tiberium.

They never get old. Everytime you post here I'm hoping for another installement. Appreciate the effort!
The fusion cores are very well placed over there, I've been killed by them a couple of times, even when I was running away alongside the that rail.
 
Hm, i can't seem to get the terminal achievement. I know i've visited all of them, and i'm sure i let them all get to the end before exiting, but i haven't gotten it yet.

I'll probably have to go through them all again i guess.

That sucks. I got the achievement, but I can't remember whether or not I had to start each level from the beginning or not. Each one will go through some kind of security alert sequence, and once you get to the end of that you know you've read everything.

I think you have to get them in the same difficulty. Getting 2 on Easy, then the rest on Normal won't work, I think.

And you have to wait until after it goes all wonky and red.
 
Frankie, Luke, I'm begging you, release a patch or something so we can remove the quota from items in Forge. Auuugh it hinders so many of my maps!

I heard someone (Echo Eagle?) talking about a way to work around it...

Yeah, it's like Bungie watched all those videos of themselves talking about the sainted 'tripod' of guns, melee, and grenades enabling you to tip a battle in your favour even if someone jumped you, and then said, 'naaaaaah'.

Ah, that may be it. I got some on my first play through on Heroic, and some on my 2nd on Legendary.

there are two limits in forge: the budget limit and the quota limit.

The budget limit is that total cost allowed on a map which I assume is related to game performance but the item quota is the restriction on the number of items you're allowed to place on a map, for example 16 bridges, or 24 double boxes. I don't understand why they have this limit, why not just let me place as many bridges or double boxes as I want until I hit the budget?

I will be awaiting news that Bungie has sorted out the dreadful melee and the grenade power before I strap back online. It's really unbalanced and has become a hugely stressful experience, and this is coming from a guy who is pretty damn good at the Halo series and genuinely loves the Halo games.

The problem is that I'm pretty much sure Bungie tests the majority of their game on a closed network and never really runs into the problems that the hardcore players deem a tragedy on XBL. Either that or they're really stupid. Isolation anyone? Yeah, Host matters.

For example, my connection would be full green bar in game(no lag) but after watching the game-play video in theater mode I could literally watch bullets bounce and hit my opponents shield but not register damage(FULL 3 round burst body shots not registering). WTF?

Hopefully Bungie gets around to fixing the BR spread. I love the argument they added kickback and returned to the old spread to make the game more realistic by adding some sort of randomness to the game, but why did they change the spread in Halo2 then???

It just irks me that after Halo2 Bungie didn't develop an option for dedicated hosts. Now not only can we not control who becomes host anymore in Halo3(this is for custom games not matchmaking) but it's stupid how host is decided now. Some kid with a .8 Mbit upload Wal-Mart connection can pull host over 4 people in the room who have a 2 Mbit upload stream with FiOS.. Ok.

I don't trust the bar anymore, i've noticed various times in some matches where i've been lagging but had a full green bar, and in one game i remember in particular, this guy was warping around a lot and yet everyone in the game had full green bars the entire time.

Maybe they are related to the complexity of putting each one in the map. Maybe 24 bridges consumes as much memory as 23 bridges and a multitude of other objects. I doubt Bungie would put a quota on elements just because they felt like it was correct. There are always carefully thought reasons behind things like these, but hopefully it is possible, I like your maps.

You guys probably remember my final level Ghost-run pictures from a week or so ago. The discovery of the Ghosts on Legendary means that there are now four drivable vehicles on the final level.

So, of course, you know what that means.

Just before the end of the level, all four of you should have drove around the perimeter for twenty minutes, taunting Halo 3 like the little bitch it is.

I read the number was around 250 or something. Don't know if that's including the 100ish testers.
