The new Bungie.net update actually sounds pretty good. Hopefully that forge map ends up in matchmaking. Not just bare bones mind you, I'm thinking something Bungie made. Multiple tweaks to the same map sounds interesting.

Anyway, my forum clan turned 3 years old along with Halo 2 the other day. Geez some of us have been playing this one game online for a long time. D:

With Swords and an extra player being added to Lone Wolves, I think I finally have a real shot at getting the Overkill achievement. I'm current at 995/1000. That bitch is MINE.

Beautiful stuff last night, fellow TGS'ers. I forgot how awesome stupid people in groups of four are!

B.net isn't loading properly for me either, so yeah, something may be going on.

Last 25 games you played get auto stored, but will be lost if you play another game and the cache gets changed before you save it to the hdd correctly.
 
bungie.net is back in business. So is xbox.com and majornelson.com.

Hopefully this means XBL is back up, too.

Hey btw when is Bungie going to use their own servers?

So wait, the fact that OSU lost one game, as many as LSU, somehow proves your point?

I don't follow.

This is why we need a playoff system. OSU will likely drop to a 4-7 spot in the polls, and will miss out on the National Title, regardless of what they do against Michigan. For some fucked up reason, it's better to lose your 4th game early than to lose a game near the end of the season after winning 10 in a row.

Oh well, at least we don't have Senior-dominated team. We can still beat UM (I hope) and go to a nice bowl. Who knows, maybe we'll play one of those nice overrated SEC teams!

Farthest Outpost is it. One of my favorite pieces from the series. Although, out-of-context it doesn't do quite as much for me. But man, Marty has some amazing stuff on there. Greatest Journey is too much.

I seriously can't wait to get this. I need to play campaign 40,000 more times before it hits, though, so I can place these pieces in their proper context.
 
So much recycled material, there are 2 sets of 2 songs that are the same with each other. My favs are luck, farthest, n3var f0g3t, greatest journey.

Black tower sounds so LOTRish, both the name and the actual piece itself.

Yeah, the first time I heard that I was mesmerized. And then immidiately thought, I need the OST, stat.
 
Thanks alot for the Halo OST preview link. I've been O'Ding on COD4 this week and hearing that first track makes me want to run through the whole H3 campaign again. Halo is really my first love.

I liked the 4th movement of the odyssey, it's a complete joy to listen to. I wish they had more rockish songs in H3...
 
When are we going to get a Custom Games browser of some kind?

I'd really like to enjoy some Forge-inspired gametypes and maps more often than when I organize events myself.

"Greatest Journey" and "Halo Reborn" are so good. Love them at the start of the last level, it fit perfectly with the snow, the sad feeling of the end coming near.
 
Some of that fan music is actually really, really good. I got used to fan music being "let's take the original music and make it techno" crap.
 
It was good, but there is a rock song for HALO 3 that is terrible that thankfully wasn't included in the OST.

I really love 'Tribute' which comes from HALO 2's Epilogue. Reminds me of Arbiter's Were it so easy...
 
Too bad you can't change the sound settings in Halo 3. There were times I would have preferred the music drowning out any other sound while playing.

Speaking of music, a while back, I played Jigsaw Falling into Place and Idioteque while on the second half of the last level. It was completely awesome.
