That seems to be some sort of browser caching issue. I reloaded the page and it went away.
 
Hey, another new feature is up on Bungie.net. Check out Career Stats under yours or somebody else's profile. There is now a Heat Maps tab. The idea is to get an idea of where you often die or kill people the most. Doesn't seem to be populating from all your games though, at least not yet. Right now I only have a simple heat map for Gaurdian, with what looks like only one or two games in it.

Very neat though. It looks like I'm always getting killed in one or two areas of the map :D

just read the humpday challenge story, i can vouch for krunk not being a ringer and killa zilla had been playing with them for awhile, not saying he wasnt a ringer, but i doubt they would have a ringer playing odd custom games an hour before your match

btw jvb sucks and he is the sole reason podtacular lost

And to be clear, I didn't complain or anything :lol . I found out because Urk messaged me on Live to tell me about it. Didn't say if he knew how long it was for. Technically he shoulda known better around here since that's a very touchy word here, but still :(. I also still don't completely understand that reply, I must be missing something.

Some of my friends and my wife and I all pitched in and got one of our friends a 360 and Halo 3 tonight. He's a huge Halo fan and he's been playing at my other friend's house, but he's been totally broke and unable to spring for a system and the game. He had a really shitty day too, but damn it was probably the happiest I've ever seen him after we gave it to him :). So I'll probably be hopping back on the game to play with him, but outside of that I'm also done until they fix melee, it's just stupid and frustrating right now.

I think he was saying, "no custom game search for you, play matchmaking and guys who talk like this". At least, that's how I took it. But it's a banned phrase. Place won't be the same without him.

Although we’re paying close attention to it, melee is still causing folks a headache. The primary complaint is that the fellow with the most health wins the simultaneous melee strike. There are a couple of problems here. One is that the way this victory or loss is displayed on screen is aesthetically frustrating:

Situation: Two people melee almost simultaneously and one wins.

Display: One melee fails, then, a fraction of a second later, your opponent’s, succeeds.

This looks worse than it is, sometimes because of network conditions. You’ll have to take our word for it that in spite of the apparent gap in time and animation, the two strikes were effectively simultaneous. The problem is for most people that it looks bad and is dissatisfying. But we do appreciate the frustration this causes and we are looking into it. As many have noted, the alternative, host advantage, is not preferable.

It wasn't that big of a problem at first, but now with my ranks in the upper 30s/low 40s it's game-breaking and costly when the battles are all really close.

Yeah, but I was saying custom game search wouldn't work, I wasn't for it. If that was why he meant, I'm not sure why he quoted my post. I'll ask him tomorrow. Unfortunately in this case his ban isn't really arguable, if you use the word you use it :(

Hoo-Ray.

Took about a month, but Microsoft finally replaced my Halo 3 disc, my original disc was given a nice new 'groove' when my douchebag brother decided to move the 360 whilst it was running.

But instead of just sending me a disc in a cardboard sleeve, I've got a whole new case and manual. Although I understand that US/Japanese replacements were a cardboard sleeve with a 1 month gold card....would have preferred the month I suppose.

Yeah, I've considered doing that before, but it would just be a waste of time. Oh well.
 
I found a new Heatmaps icon on bungie.net, looks like a cool feature (has a topdown layout of the map) but unfortunately the kill locations aren't showing. I basically just have a grayed out map onscreen. Is anyone else getting this?
 
I think the heatmaps are only being generated from new or limited data. I don't think they are going through your older game data.
