TTG said:So for those of you who are stuck playing Tsavo Highway on legendary solo... just a little advice.
When you defend the base the first 2 parts are not THAT difficult. Not much to offer here it's just you vs. brutes. I would recommend firing of a clip of the alien rocket launcher thingie to the spot where the brutes all land.
The part I REALLY had a problem with is the third part. That's when the tank rolls out along with another wave of brutes. The key here, as I accidentally found out, is to take out the tank sooner than later. Don't leave it for last. If you fire off 2 clips of the rocket launcher(you should be saving all the ammo for that as you go along, pick one up from a brute chieftan, get all the ammo you can) at it it should go down. Then you will get another checkpoint and the pelican will fly in. I tried taking out everyone else first and then going for the tank, it's possible, but chances are the tank will get you before you can jump on it.
I must of spent 30-50 minutes on that part, it seemed a lot longer. Just remember, take out the tank first, that's the key! It was hard, but still not Halo:CE on legendary hardThe rest of the level is cake, I must of died less than 10 times in other spots. The whole level took just under 2 hours.
Same thing here.DoctorWho said:Is stat updating turned off for the weekend? My stats haven't updated all day.
beerbelly said:There's a sniper rifle with about 2 dozen bullets if you run back towards where you came from...it's on top of a fort. I picked them off one by one by aiming at the machine gunner on the tank. The brutes are dumb enough to climb one by one in there to take a fallen's place.

Something that's bothering me though...Why is the Overshield such a piece of shit now? They improved Invisibilty ten fold, but made the Overshield pretty awful. It doesn't even really give an advantage anymore.

these guys don't know how to play. suppose player A has the oddball and had like 20 seconds left.
Player B is chasing Player A.
Player C is chasing Player B.
It is in Player C's best interest to let Player B kill Player A, then Player C can kill Player B, and get the oddball.
BUT NO. These douchebags kill the first thing they see instead of playing with strategy.
Same as in the first two games, right?Stinkles said:You are LITERALLY indestructible the second you pick it up. The strategy isn't to use it, it's to lurk, pounce and fight.
- was referring to the slight immobility that occurs when you get jacked out of a vehicle. It happens to me, too. I assumed you guys implemented it to keep players from immediately rejacking a vehicle that they've been kicked out of it. I've only jacked a Ghost, so that's all I can speak for, but it's definately there. And I seem to recall being in a crouch position like this guy spoke of. I think the guy probably mistook the immobility wear-off as being fixed by himself hitting the crouch button.Broward said:When you get hijacked in a vehicle, it seems you are always crouching when you get out, and you have to click the analog stick in to stand up. Is this a glitch, or how you wanted hijacking to work? Thank you for your time!
Sean said:Construct is so shitty. Probably the worst designed multiplayer map in the entire Halo series. Actually I take that back, Chiron in Halo 1 was - but Construct is the second worst. There's nothing good about it. Everyone camps on the top floor next to the elevator lifts and instantly kill the players who come up it. Boring and ugly looking map too with nothing interesting in it.
Oh and the motion tracker... Why even bother having it enabled on that map? There's like five levels/floors to it and enemies show up on your radar even if they're underneath you. It's stupid.
It happens to me too. Like the player is dizzy/confused and can't move.Cocopjojo said:Same as in the first two games, right?
Also, didn't you answer the questions in the WWU?

Your response to the guy made it seem like you weren't familiar with what he was talking about. Do you know about the effect I'm describing? Like you said, it is weird. But I figured it was something you guys did on purpose.
That's the number next to your name in a ranked playlist. When you win a game in that playlist, you get experience, which goes towards increasing that number. At earlier levels, it will usually increase for every game you win, but at later levels, it will take multiple wins to increase it to the next number.Stabby McSter said:so uh
how do you get to a skill level of 10
i never understood that![]()

The last few matches I've played there has always been at least one person in a Mongoose driving around trying to splatter people.SolidSquirrel said:Achievement whores are ruining Lone Wolves right now :/

I actually welcome the easy kills. Always a bunch of people going "Wanna get achievements?" and the stand in the middle in Snowbound, easy targets for my ghostSolidSquirrel said:Achievement whores are ruining Lone Wolves right now :/

Most of the games were played on Beaver creek, and It really made me wish that it was in H3.Such an awesome map for 1v1, 2v2, or 4v4.

I agree. I don't consider many of Halo 3's maps fun at all.OverHeat said:Well after 300 games played is it just me or was the map selection in Halo 2 a little more fun?
I miss maps like headlong or midship

1UP: For all the super fans: does this mean Bungie won't work on whatever "Halo 4" turns out to be?
Jarrard: Well we are already at work on another Halo game -- I wouldn't call it "Halo 4", but it is based in the Halo Universe and represents a collaboration between Bungie and Peter Jackson. Halo 3 was definitely not the last Bungie Halo game.

Ryudo said:Construct = wtf ? People just camp/sneek under the gravity lifts and stick you when you go through them. Worst map in the game imo.
Narrows = campers paradise. Doest help that the majority of the time the game is shotty snipers either.
