It's all about how you want to approach it. The time multiplier is not needed if you have enough skulls turned on. I think the best combination for playing on Normal is Famine, Fog, Thunderstorm, and Mythic. I was able to easily get 23,595 on Tasvo Highway with that combination on Normal.Cornballer said:

Another question, which I'm sure has been answered before, but do you have to start at the beginning of levels to get the skulls, or can I start from checkpoints?

When Isolation comes up, grab a mongoose and just ride around the map in a big circle, you're bound to run someone over eventually. It'll probably be a couple guys not paying attention shooting eachother down in the tunnels. Then you just make a small adjustment and BAM.
The other achievements though, there is no hope.

I got the Mongoose ach. the first time I ever made a effort to get it. Just make sure you're coming downhill onto your target and you should be fine. (If you hit a target that standing completely still going full speed from a lower elevation, it won't kill them no matter what.)
Overkill, however, is just stupid.

True, there are typically enough points on the board for you to take care of it slowly on Normal if you want. It's just that I noticed today that the time multiplier is multiplied after you add up the difficulty and skull multipliers, so it's a big bonus. You can double or triple your score by using that.tak said:

If you think your connection is running even a fraction slower than it should be I suggest avoiding ranked games. If I fire 3 rounds from a BR into a guy and then melee him he should be dead but some how I wind up on the ground with him still running around. This after playing an hour ago and having several 1st place games.

No, I haven't seen them. I figure those will be up sooner or later because it's not that hard to calculate them - just a matter of paying attention and spending a fair amount of time on the levels.tak said:

The following post is a rant, you've been warned:
I bought Halo 3 on Monday and couldn't play it until today because of school/exams/whatever. So I play a bit of campaign, ok, cool, now for the real fun: Online multiplayer. I try to start matchmaking and nothing happens...try again..nothing..once more..nothing. So I'm like wtf and consult the instruction booklet when my eyes focus on some horrendous words: Xbox Live GOLD. I went loco. Excuse my ignorance, maybe I should've known that I needed a Gold accound before buying the damn game but wtf why's that? Why do I need a gold account? I already bought 2 years of silver or whatever and now I have to upgrade just to play Halo 3? Fuck that. I can play Gears and everything else online with my silver account, why would Halo 3 need gold? Fuck the free 48 hours, I want to play for weeks.

I finally finished that fight by letting the friendly A.I. sacrifice themselves to take down all the Choppers while I hid in the center structure occasionally firing my FRG at the Scarab's legs. This game has quite possibly the best physics i've ever experienced. I played loads of game with good physics, but i dont know what Bungie did the Havok, or how much they tweaked it, i cant remeber when i've seen bodies react so convincingly when you die. And heavy objects, they have weight to them even in the air, unlike most games where heavy objects look as if they are light as card.

Were in for some Chop - Go to Tsavo Highway, load it up at the only available checkpoint. Go to the bunkers where the marines are and grab a mine, keep hold of it until the next section where you fight with 3 choppers, wear their health down then just deploy is as they come at you.

I have been playing through the game on Heroic on my own, luckily two friends came along and helped me via co-op. Anyone who is disspaointed with this game really need to start enjoying life more. The game was fantastic when played single player but with co-op its just stunning, battling scarabs on legendary with a few skulls switched on was something, else and the shear amount of stuff on screen at the time was mind blowing. Really people can compain about this that and the other reagrding the graphics but all I see is one gobsmacking moment after another. Stunning game.
