One lot of questions from the Bungie.net Q&A thread:

1. Why didn't you let us fly Pelicans?

2. Why can't I destroy the sentinals on Construct?

3. Why on maps are there death barriers everywhere? I like invis. barriers better than death barriers. Much less annoying, and it tells us where we can and can't go on a map, without making us die and start over again.

4. Why is the game a lil' jaggy everytwhere?

5. Why can't I pick up an Elephant in Forge?

6. Why can't I put my weapon down in XBL and only in System Link and Local?

7, Why can't I duel weild a needler?

8. Why isn't there Blood Gulch?

9. What is up with the pistol firing rate?

10. Why hasn't there been an update yet?

That's a pretty clever way to get the multiplayer achievements.

I got lucky I suppose, some guy in the pre-game lobby asked if everyone would like to trade achievements and we all helped each other out. I probably would've never got the mongoose mowdown achievement without it.

I still need the boarding one, 2 for 1 spartan laser, and overkill achievements so I might try that asian language setting thing later.

I don't know why you'd ever pick it up, either. I think Bungie is just trying to distance themselves from the pistol-oriented gameplay in Halo, and the easiest way to do that is to make it suck hardcore in each sequel. NOT WHORING THAT PISTOL NOW, ARE YOU, GLEEFUL HALO DEVOTEES?! HAR HAR HAR! Sort of like that :(

Finally completed the game solo on legendary. Missions 3 and 8 are by far the toughest. However, I do think mission 3 is quite a bit tougher than 8.

Actually just for fun, in non ranked games, there should be special duel wieldable needler somewhere on the map that you can use only for short time like camo/overshield. You can go on awesome killing spree with that.

Level 3 was the toughest level for me also, that one battle with all the brutes and the wraith, it was the fun type of hard tho, not frustrating type hard. :D

I thought 8 was gonna be a pain in the ass to finish but it turned out to be pretty easy. The only part that gave me a bit of trouble was the long corridor where you can get the flame thrower. Other then that it was pretty easy.
 
I need some help getting the Catch skull, just can't jump up there.

Use a warthog or other large vehicle and do a crouch jump.

if anyone wants to do this tonight around 3 am est, i will be there, if you are on my FL we can remove and readd in order to get it

i really dont like lonewolf or rumble pit in general
 
i`m guessing Blood Gulch isn`t there because no one would try the new stuff if it was there!

hell, we played Lan parties every couple of weeks for the best part of a year and all we did was 8v8 capture the flag Blood Gulch.
 
I'll jump on real quick and help you Maize. A warning though: my mic has been acting weird today. (sometimes people hear what I say and other times they don't.)

Actually it will have to be you getting it. If I grab it, you don't get the achievement. At least thats how Team Gay Subtext's skull run went.

Or Thermite can hook you up. He's better at it.

I'll be glad when we're done with these damned achievement. I find myself playing lone wolves just for achievements and I think it's starting to effect my enjoyment of the game. I've got 2 for 1, killing frenzy, 5 stickies and mongoose kill to get.

I wished there were more outdoor maps like Blood Gulch. It feels like the majority of the maps are inside a forerunner structure.

lost track of this thread but I have a Q. has the co-op lag situation been addressed. had an experience last night where the whole game was chugging like 3 scarabs just blew up and continued for the rest of my play time (as long as I could handle it) even through new stage loads. I dont think it is latency related but I may be wrong, my co op partner experienced a little chugging but not nearly as bad. I also went into a mp match right after and experienced no lag. happened on the big brute encouter on tsavo right after I blew up a phantom... anyone else seen this or know of a solution?

I did a co-op session with two of my friends and we got no lag. (30 miles distance though--so not much latency) :S

yeah , I have played through co op with this person (my brother) with no problems whatsoever. he lives about 1 kilometer away from me and I have a 1000kbps connection so as I say I dont think it is latency related. it seemed very much like the game engine itself was chugging. anywho. just kind of annoying that one time.

why they didnt make them for any ranked game is beyond me

im with you, i havent even touched it but i was never a fan of rumble pit/free for all in halo 2

any other late night people want to try this, hopefully matchmaking will be working then
