so those of you who had the game spoiled a week or so back with a xbl friend request, what exactly happened
now that i beat the game im just curious

I see to get a Lieutenant rating, you need to have 70 EXP and a skill rating of 10 in a ranked playlist. Now, do you need to currently have a 10 rating in a ranked playlist, or just have achieved 10 at some point in order to unlock the Lieutenant rank? I notice that they keep track of both. I ask because I'm not especially good, but I've gotten lucky lately and achieved a 10 in lone wolves. Should I keep playing and risk being dropped down in rating, or not worry about it because the game knows at some point I did have a 10?

Luke implied that the terminals had to be accessed in one continuous save - meaning you cannot visit the individual levels just to access the terminals...you have to play through the whole game.

For anyone that's interested, Gamesradar put up a pdf file with simple multiplayer maps that includes weapon, vehicle, and equipment spawn locations. Not a bad thing to take a look at if you want to know where the sniper rifle is, etc....

Your films in the "Recent Films" list are stored in cache memory, when you play another game, that cache of films is cleared. I may be unfairly assuming that's what happened here. I forgot to save some films from MP the other night and started up madden and by the time I remembered they were gone.

Can I get the meta-game achievements in co-op? How does that work? Is it easier to do team scoring?

Yes. Your individual score has to beat the threshold - it doesn't matter what your teammates do. (i.e. whoever among you gets over the required 15,000/50,000 will get the achievement.) I don't know if toggling on team scoring makes a difference.The Lamonster said:

you guys wondering about rank. the number rank increases much faster in H3 than in H2. i think bungie did it purposely so all those little kids who cheated just to rank up have less reason to now; everyone will be a 40 or 50 pretty soon is my guess. sometimes my friends and i would level up 2 or 3 levels in certain playlists after playing just one game. in H2 it took 5 to 10 games to level up as far as i remember.
Alright, this is really fucking annoying. SOMEONE HELP. So I finally got my NAT open by enabling UPnP, but now my internet dies every 10 minutes until I unplug my router. HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO FIX THIS? I've spent more time messing with my router than playing Halo 3, and that's a lot of time... I don't understand what the problem is. I have tried forwarding ports, enabling DMZ, UPnP, and using different IP's. Does anyone know what the problem is? I'm starting to think it's because I'm on my dorm's internet network.

rank means even less than it did in halo 2. in h2 i could've gotten a 50 in a week or two if i worked at it after modding and bridging reached a lull (which it did, except half the players didn't notice as they thought blue screen = cheating)... in this game it'll take like 4 days. right now what shows skill the most is your k/d. imo if you have a 1.8 k/d or higher with many matches played you're a quality slayer at least. but it's still a pretty arbitrary number as the game takes teamwork and tactics, even more so than halo 2, which was the king in that area, rather than pure skill like halo 1.
