Sir Fragula said:My friend was also in awe of the game, having had his doubts with Halo 2. The icing on the cake for him was thedeaths of Miranda and Johnson, as he hated those characters and what they represented in Halo 2's plotline. Personally I rather liked them and was sad to see them go.
He thought they were essentially part of the "Master Chief and Friends" family concept which he hated,Lostconfused said:Wait, why did he hate em?
Oh and the hornet would probably need balancing because unlike the banshee its very easy to rain down death destruction on everything you see below you.

Curse of the consoles. We won't see a game with this huge scale feature the sort of AA that you're looking for. It's a shame we can't swap out the video cards in our 360/PS3's like we do hard drives.f@luS said:I dream of the same AA ingame and the photo mode. Seriously , this really hurt my eyes![]()

Sir Fragula said:He thought they were essentially part of the "Master Chief and Friends" family concept which he hated, and that unlike in Halo 1 where no character was unbelievably strong/fast/lucky except for you... in Halo 2 Johnson and Miranda both lived too often when they should have died.
As I say that's his opinion and I can understand it. I still like Miranda though.
dark_preacher said:guys is there anyway to view the credits after you beat the game?
when themessage from bungie came up i thought i had to hit confirm to make it go away, it skipped the credits and the rest of the ending.
any help?
Xater said:No. It's Bungies own engine.
I still don't know how you can not complain about the aliasing. Did any of the US reviews complain about it? I today read the first German review and it also complains about the aliasing and the sporadic framerate issues.
Thanks for spoiling it for me. You really should have spoiler tagged that.Sir Fragula said:He thought they were essentially part of the "Master Chief and Friends" family concept which he hated, and that unlike in Halo 1 where no character was unbelievably strong/fast/lucky except for you... in Halo 2 Johnson and Miranda both lived too often when they should have died.

Ive seen many game with huge scale . Unreal tournament 3 will really kick halo 3 gfx miles away (same scales, vehicules too , and gfx...you know what), but still , halo 3 is so poor graphically , i really can not understand especially in MP , why is there no aa. Im playing so close to my screen, it really doest hurt (beside the so-so framerate)GreekWolf said:Curse of the consoles. BTW: We have more posts than the SSB thread! Hooray!

Sounds very cool. Rockets = awesome fun.GDJustin said:If anyone is looking for something a little different, I've created my first custom game variant. I'd appreciate it if you'd give it a download and give it a try - I'm going to work hard to hone my skills in custom game variants and the forge, but I wanna see the stuff I make at least get downloaded a couple times
You can queue it up for download here:
http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=ErrorJustin
Anyway, it's pretty simple really - 1) Gravity is set as low as it'll go - 50%. This makes jumps REALLY floaty. 2) Movement speed bumped up to 150% - this helps to offset the slower in-the-air pace. 3) Unlimited Rockets.
...aaand that's it! I tested it with some buds and we found it to be MUCH more fun than a traditional Rocket Slayer match - the adjusted gravity really does make a difference. It was a lot of fun on Isolation.
Any ways to further improve/tweak the settings or any other feedback is appreciated!
When you are at the main menu, press start, then select file share, then select one of the six open slots, select screenshot, and pick whatever the name is of the shot you want to upload. Then go to Bungie.net, and under my stats select my Halo 3 service record, your screens should be there. It didn't allow me to even see that page before I played one online MP game, so you might want to do that as well.My Arms Your Hearse said:1) I'm sure this has been gone over, but the thread is huge: How do you find your screenshots?

I have no doubts UT3 will kick everything to the curb if you're playing it on a nice gaming rig. But if you're honestly expecting it to look identical on the consoles with an insane level of AA (which was your initial gripe) then you're going to be sorely disappointed. Ram limitations will be a constant thorn in the side throughout this generation, though I do expect devs to squeeze out a few tricks as they become more familiar with the hardware.f@luS said:Ive seen many game with huge scale . thats where optimisation comes. There are a lot of UT3 hands on -console out here, and video too. It may have the same aliasing as gow had, but nowhere near Halo 3. Its one of my most aliased "big game" ever this gen seriously. MP games are so poor and yet so aliasing, when you have on your screen like 10 box, 2 elevator, 7 other guys , why the hell is this so jaggy?GreekWolf said:I have no doubts UT3 will kick everything to the curb if you're playing it on a nice gaming rig.
