I'm sure the location of the last skull will be found before the end of this week though. Doesn't matter how hard Bungie thinks they hid it, there's thousands of people constantly searching every nook and cranny.

Cocopjojo said:No, if the Chief's half of the ship had made it through the portal, then he'd be back at Earth. That's why Cortana said it'd be years before anyone found them, since the signal has to travel from the edge of the galaxy (assuming it's being transmitted via slipspace or some other faster-than-light means). IIRC, didn't they step through a portal-type thing in Ghosts of Onyx to get to the shield planet? So, it'd make sense if it was near the Ark.
Sir Fragula said:He thought they were essentially part of the "Master Chief and Friends" family concept which he hated, and that unlike in Halo 1 where no character was unbelievably strong/fast/lucky except for you... in Halo 2 Johnson and Miranda both lived too often when they should have died.
As I say that's his opinion and I can understand it. I still like Miranda though.

they're all static.
i mean they look good sure, but no moving clouds? memory could be failing here but i think even the first halo had moving clouds.
only exception seems to be, but even then that's not actually the sky per se,level 3 right now. :/its just the circular storm above the ark
[Nintex] said:Bought it and it's awesome so far, but how do I take screenshots?
The start menu has no such option(like Forza2), is there a different mode or something?
ToyMachine228 said:I posted this once but no one responded so I'll post it again. I'm definitely playing through H3's Campaign again and again but why is no one talking about343 Guilty Spark telling Master Chief that he is the child of a Forerunner. Is that to be taken literally? Humans really were the Forerunners?
I had that once during the beta. Think there was some trouble with one of the Bungie servers back then. Thought I lost those replays forever (had up to 20 at the time) but they were back a day later.MMaRsu said:Man I can't save any maps or photo's ????????

I return after lunch and the game puts me back at the beginning of the mission? What is up with that? Is there something I'm missing? Sucks that I have to redo this one because it's the longest so far and I can't play for a few days now.activated the cartographer

I just want to make sure before downloading redundant files. Thanks.

SonnyBoy said:My feelings on the SP experience thus far.
- The graphics are disappointing and I expected more. BioShock, COD4, MGS4...hell, even Killzone the list goes on and on. The games listed above are mind blowing. They're introducing great graphics and game play advances over their predecessors. The lighting is nice though. It looks pretty realistic in certain situations, especially during cut scenes. I think the human characters look like ass.
- The game isn't serious, it's cartoony. I've been saying for months now to you guys that the novels ruined this game for me. The novels were realistic, dark, gritty and about as mature as you can get considering the material. Now I'm playing the game and the grunts sound like 3 year children squealing and giggling, almost like I'm watching Star Wars Ep3.
BioShock really evoked some emotion, it made me pause and decided whether or not I wanted to kill a sister. I was interested in hearing the cries of the inhabitants and listening to the tapes. The acting was spot on and sincere... Halo 3 is a Saturday morning cartoon in comparison.
- Overall the game is solid but it's Halo, I expected more. This game is MS's bread and butter, it's supposed to trump BioShock, and whatever else is out there right now and for the foreseeable future. It doesn't do that for me. I'll be honest in saying that this game looks like it should have released a little why after the system launched. The gameplay is solid but really doesn't do anything for me, I feel disconnected. Maybe the hype has placed this game on a pedestal that it simply can't reach.
MP....MP has been awesome thus far.
draven said:This might seem like a stupid question, but does anyone know if the arbiter in co-op mode has the cloaking ability? I've played single player to see the arbiter cloak but when playing online co-op, I can't seem to find a button to do so.
To my defense, when searching for "arbiter" in this thread, I find a lot of unmarked spoilers (the way search results are listed).

looks Gorgeous on my new 1080p set, i find myself just wondering around admiring the colors and objects. i'm glad it's not gritty and dull like most other games.
