2.5 hours...until i get off work

then an hour long drive home where my CE will be awaiting me

then i start the search for a new job..ok i made tat last part up...i already have one in mind

You can get Walmart to take anything back, my cousin got them to replace a bike he broke that he didn't even buy there.

Mine just got picked up from Newegg's Illinois warehouse an hour and a half ago and now is on it's way here for tomorrow. I have overnight via Fedex. Just keep looking at your UPS tracking info, hopefully it will change. I was planning on going to Wal-Mart until I saw the update in status. Either way, Newegg is never getting a penny from me again. It has been a big mess the entire way.
 
why are people waiting in line? is it really worth it to wait 3 hours just so you can get the game 10 minutes before the other people in line? there's people lined up at my EB for picking up their pre-orders, I don't get it. *shrugs*
 
id love to go pick this up at midnight but having to be up at 6 am for work sucks

theres a million gamestops in my area, and a new one in my town, but realistically if i went tonight id be waiting a couple hours right?
 
Anyways, you guys living in the US are lucky, you guys got midnight launch. In Canada, there's nothing going on. Unless someone want to fill me in?

Please, any canadians? I wouldn't mine going right now and getting it.
 
Is GameStop going to be selling anything other than pre-orders tonight? There's one down the street but I didn't pre-order there because I avoid those stores like the plague these days (no, I don't have any games I'd like to trade in, you twits).

If there was an event going on, then yes I would get there early to eat some free food, swag and fun. But if not, I wouldn't be in line for 3 hours. Now if I didn't have a LE pre-order and that EB had extras, I probably would stay for 3 hours even with no event.

All the Best Buys and FutureShops are doing midnight launches here...

EB too I think.
 
when halo 2 released ther were roughly a hundred people at the store, everything went smothly and i was at the end of the line, checked out in no more than 20 minutes and that was that

not really sure getting ther early is worth it
 
I might just go to the futureshop midnight launch, they're throwing in a free copy of fantastic four. That should at least net me $20 in trade-in credit at my local gaming store that I could use one something else (maybe pre-order COD4).
 
my eb was sold out of everything but regular a few days ago, was trying to get a second CE with no luck, my friend eventually went to best buy for his reserve
 
Better call your Gamestops to see how the lines are... one here is wrapped around the shopping center (towards the back of it) which is retarded since its in an awful area plus its only 9:45...

Anyone know if the game will be region free? Brazilian version is fully dubbed in Portuguese. Which should mean hilarious bad moments, but I want to play it for real :(
 
One of the Bungie employees said on G4 the pre-orders are actually around 1.7 million. Yea, this thing is going to break all the old records, and break them handedly.
