Because some places have upwards of 300~500 preorders, and even if only 1/3 show up at midnight, that's potentially a long wait in line to get your game.

Err there's a midnight launch chainwide at Futureshop (cept for Quebec).

I liked the Heroes premiere but I have a feeling a lot of people are going to rag on it. Off to the Heroes thread to check.

Wow, this thread has slowed to an absolute crawl. Too bad I have to get up early to get the game but whatever. It's worth waiting for.

Yeah, I'm still here cause I have to wait another 19 hours 39 minutes for the game to release over here. But I'll probably be watching the Bungie countdown to ease the wait..

Well, tomorrow in the sense of midnight, I'm leaving in like 5 mins and hoping the lines aren't long. It wasn't too bad for halo 2.

note this is obviously a joke as g4 and ign are blocks from each other and im pretty sure a certain g4 host is dating a ign employee...atleast thats the hearsay

Yeah, don't think any store here broke the street date, closest was one store in Norway (I live in Sweden) that sold 6 or so copies..
 
i got the game played for an hour.

You know i am sorta dissapointed. The first level did seem to have cut and paste level design. SAme with the hanger area.

I just love the combat still. Gernades always feel so good.

They won't be all gone, MS will ship 5 copies for every human being on the planet.

If you absolutely, positively must play it tonight then go out otherwise there will be a copy of it somewhere for purchase for you. I guarantee.

So has anyone got their Legendary Edition yet? If so are they numbered, and does it say how many were made? Also it seems like the Limited Edition might actually be limited, they're sold out on GameStop.com already...
