I'm actually surprised the unique players only went up about a thousand over the course of the day. It's at 11,912 now, and was about 11k this morning. I thought a lot more copies would make their way out into the wild.

yeah, either a lot of them are keeping off the net 'just in case' or the leaks aren't as bad as some of the hype would make you beleive. of course, some of the new bungie.net hotness makes it easier to gauge this sort of thing then was available for halo2. I don't think it had any mechanism to tell us how many people were on at any given time.

What has been done to make the Elites more viable in terms of headshot-age and just overall equality with the Spartan model? Those permutations look hawt, but if they mean getting sniped 6 times where a Spartan would have gotten sniped 5, it's a no go for me.

Player Image Generator
Those of you who don't have the game and want to experiment with the different armor permutations, here's a nifty little program that lets you do just that. It's basically what you can do in Halo 3 in terms of customizing your Spartan. So you can keep yourself busy with that in wait of Halo 3.

Needs .Net Framework 2.0, so if you don't have that you cand download it below.

because some of us don't want to see anything from the campaign and don't want to be spoiled while casually reading the thread. There's no way to spoiler-protect images. Posting a link with an appropriate warning would have been ok.
