I'm not sure how things work in the game on obtaining the alternate armor. I have the Hayabusa body and shoulder plates but not the helmet. So far I have completed the game on Normal mode and obtained all of the skulls but one.

Well I can see the problem from here...

( To clarify, I don't believe beating the game on Heroic has anything to do with it. I have no idea whatsoever on how to unlock Hyabusa Helmet. I'm just messing with you. )

For anyone who has the game:

Is the aim-assist as toned down as it was for the beta? (campaign or multiplayer). And if you know, do you have the option to turn it on/off or anything like that?

Thanks.

I don't think aim-assist will even be that big of a deal now. For sniping you actually have to use skill.

No way. I enjoy playing on Legendary but as the first time through the game? Less enjoyable IMO unless your playing with multiple people. But you are rewarded Halo: CE style with the shield/sword/skull piece for both solo and co-op Legendary runs which I have completed three missions doing so.

*Ah. To be honest with you I'm just trying to stop those miserable turtles.

Oh man, I just played some Halo 2 and 2 people on my team quit and we still won 44-28
Epic Win

I was playing a game of Team SWAT the other day in which ALL THREE of my other team members quit at the very beginning of the match, and I beat my four opponents 27-11. :lol

and some 24 hours.

The whole thing is a generator.

Copy the image location when you view someone's profile. The last 11 characters change different things. I'm compiling a list of what changes what, and what letters represent what right now.

I've found a new helmet, a new chestplate, and a new set of shoulder armor. :D

EDIT: There. New helmet, new chestplate, new shoulders.

Still trying to figure out COLOR for everything. I can get the primary color for EVERYTHING to change, but the secondary, and individual colors are kind of...weird.
Nifty.

Guess we can confirm the marathon helmet permutation then:

:D

edit: also, this one looks kinda cool.

For those of you who have played the game (Or those who want to give advice on assumptions / good will), I have a question regarding difficulty settings.

Much against the advice of this thread, I'm going to (unwillingly) have my first Halo 3 run-through in coop. My friend needs some place to stay Monday / Tuesday, so I let him stay here. He'll be bringing his Xbox and his own copy of Halo 3, so we'll be playing system link (Assuming coop is available on that setting), but I'm wondering if Heroic might be a bit too easy?

I'm a fairly experienced Halo player, so I was originally going to play Heroic for my first play-through. But seeing as how I'll be playing it on coop with a friend, I'm wondering if it'll end up being too short of a play-through? My friend isn't as good of a player as me on consoles, but he should be able to hold his ground on Normal settings.

My main questions are basically this: How hard would coop legendary be for two regular Halo players, and how does the respawning / checkpoint system work? Will it work like Halo 2 legendary, where if my pal dies, I "die" too? Or will it simply work on a "not safe to respawn" / "Team-mate in combat" basis?

While I'm certain I can already predict the answer to my final question, how does the respawn system with in Heroic? The same as Legendary, or like both Halo games before it?

Thanks in advance, GAF.

So have you played it and know for sure? I loved how the beta didn't have H2's ridiculous amount of aim assist. Just wanting to make sure it's still like that in the retail version.

I don't know how the respawns work, but word on the street is 2 or less = Heroic. Anything more is legendary.

(don't actually have the game, going on previous comments by luke/frankie):
Regardless of difficulty, respawns work like Halo 1 (teammate safe/not-in-combat). H2 kick-you-back-to-the-checkpoint style is only available via activating a skull.

I was told I would have to line up for 4 hours if I wanted to be first in line.

I would if I didnt have class at 8 am the next day, I have to hold off buying it until 4 pm tuesday.

Don't be a wimp! I'll crawl into my 9:35AM Francophone Literature class having finished the fight!

Get it at Midnight, class at 7:30. Dunno if I want to rush myself. On the other hand It would suck going to class knowing I stopped that close to the end.

Damn, Buttonbasher. That's cutting it close. I'm not sure you could make that on Heroic :(

Unless you guys are having Finals or something Tuesday, why the hell wouldn't you just skip!?
I can't let myself skip premeditatedly - I would feel terrible about it - but the truth is I will probably wind up skipping anyway :(

Yeah, I'm considering getting like half way, then Forging for a while. Or actually getting some sleep.

I have to be in this class. It moves super fast.

im still thinking that I will get it at midnight, then sleep durring my classes or something. I hate college at times like this.

Skip class...

cant, if I skip this one class even once, my grade goes down one, if I skip it three times, I fail the entire semester, I cant risk it (mainly because that happend last year with God Hand).

But we're 2 sleeps away! If you take a sleep halfway through playing the game, it fucks up all our calculations!

thatbox said:
If you sleep on the 25th you're letting the Covenant win.
That's true. I'll probably spend that time watching films, and taking screenshots.

Sounds like a better plan.

Yeah. We can't have that...

:/

Hey, so is the Burger King thing starting tomorrow? I can go check it out if so.

I think its Monday. I'll be getting a chicken sandwich with all kinds of Halo additives.

Real quick too, I'd like to take this post to thank all you guys for making this agonizing wait a whole lot of fun. I don't have a lot of people on my friends list (don't play online too much), but I'd love for you guys to add me up and get a game going. I'll have a copy for work and home by Tuesday so I should be around to play anytime. Tag= EditorEMB.

One more sleep. ONE.

I'll have to admit, we're not all cut out for the risks in life.
