Damn, moving at lightspeed! Sorry, it's Midnight here in the Midwest, and my mind is craaaaaawling. :)

Can't wait to play with Forge, come Monday evening, and that new ViDoc did nothing to quell my anticipation.

The space time continuum is warped. It would be are luck that the world ends before the 25th.
 
Got home and turned my 360 on to download the new vidoc and got a terrible scare. Flashing Red light! AIIIEEE! But then I noticed it was only one! Maybe not all is lost. Found the error on xbox.com and started once with my harddrive disconnected and then started again with it reconnected and It Started! YAY! Thank god.

It was a E38 error which seems to be harddrive related. perhaps i had a loose connection?

I am sure there will be some drive-by spoilers, complete with video footage the next day. At least one stabbing. Hopefully just much rejoicing.

future shop in red deer is holding the first midnight launch i have ever seen here. having never played halo 2(i know, shoot me), i am going to run through the halo 1 and 2 story lines this weekend.

Samurai was shown in today's vidoc.

I have yet to see the Marathon one in any screens, but it DOES look like an in-game shot. We need to find out where it came from...

I'm walking out with copy number #1. Being a complete fool with preorders does have it's benefits but I'm seriously pissed that all partners don't cooperative with this street date stuff.

I'm guessing the Samurai one is the Hayabusa permutation mentioned earlier.

Fine. I looked at the strategy guide to find out info about unlocking them. You have to gain the Spartan MP achievement to get the Mark V. After that, nothing. Unless Samurai and Marathon are a download...
 
Those of you at midnight launch in major cities better bring your mp3 players just in case. I can't imagine what could be worse than getting spoiled minutes before getting your copy..

I agree totally. I mean, I like it, but it just doesn't feel right. I absolutely fell in love with Halo 3 MP during the beta and can't wait to get back to it.
 
Maybe Samurai was a different name in the guide? I was trying to look quickly before the Videogame police saw me reading it since the guide itself is street dated as well.

One of my friends stopped playing Halo 3 just now to play the Call of Duty 4 Beta. He's rubbin' it in your face fellas!
 
I really don't watch much TV anymore or go to video game stores and stuff(I do check this forum frequently, but I'm not sure if its a good measurement for the general public), but is the hype really at "stabbings" levels? In your opinion is the hype greater than Halo 2? I honestly, am not that excited right now. Halo: CE was great and it came out of nowhere, but then the Halo 2 hype fest made my expectations greater than the actual game was. Maybe its good that I'm avoiding the hype, because odds are I'll enjoy it more.
Kind of makes me think of how excited I am for Uncharted... maybe I'll tone that down too.

I know. I'd be blasting some tunes into my ears via my iPod but I have friends coming so we'll be chatting and hopefully we can avoid the scorn of spoilers. I do plan on taking many many photos.

The Halo 2 hype train started at the beginning of the summer and the game didn't release until November 9th. I think they had a lot more time to build Halo 2 into a "must have" title. Three seems to have snuck up on us.

Just so you know, it's about 6 feet high. Our entire backroom is covered and the guides are in the middle. Legendary boxes are all on the left side. The right side is the regulars and collectors. It looks like 34 Legendary boxes equals 420 boxes of regular and limited editions in size.

Okay, this has been irking me ever since the Beta.


During the Custom Games pandemic in the Halo 3 Public Beta, I made a gametype called "Bumper People".

Players started with Plasma Pistols, the player speed was increased to its maximum, and gravity was set a little lower than normal. We played on High Ground, and ran a "track" around the map. If the player rans into eachother, one person would die. The only thing that kind of wrecked the gametype was the fact that you had to have instant-kill on. So if anyone SHOT with the plasma pistol, they'd kill the person they shot in one hit.

In the FINAL game, is no starting weapon an option? I highly doubt it, but it'd be extremely helpful for games like mine, and other games(grenades/vehicles/whatever only, for example).


Also, from the looks of it, realtime visor reflections never made it in. That kind of makes me a little sad. But that's one of what, two things Bungie said would be in, but isn't? I'll live. :D

How do you resist just sneaking one copy out and leaving sixty bucks in the register? Is there a policy that no-one is allowed in the back room alone?
