There's four people playing Halo 3 on my list, but only one should be. I wonder just how many people are getting it early.
It's interesting though - I fully expected to be filled with raging jealousy, but not so. I know when and where I'm playing it first, and I'm content to wait for that. I'm just looking forward to us being able to talk candidly about the game and letting the game - not our anticipation of it - be the focus of conversation.
In particular, I'm looking forward to the animated gifs, movies and screens that will pour out of those first few days. The new Vidoc has me absurdly excited for them.
Just a few more days.

I always hated how they were lopped together in the BTB playlist because it was weighted much more towards team slayer rather than objective games. I love CTF and it sucked being forced to play 10 TS games in a row just to get one CTF match.
Would prefer if TS was separated out of BTB into its own playlist... Big Team Slayer or something.

There on his bedstand, was a concave device. Such a devilish device, which I hated so much. I don't know why I hated this thing so much, but what caught my eye tonight was something different.
The normal green circle of the contraption bestowed, now a bright red tint that pulsed ever so slow. But when I rubbed by eyes, and regained focus, the peculiar red lights turned back to green. As if this device, this inanimate object, was to blame for my delusions, my hate for it grew. Tonight would be the night it would glow green, nevermore.
I crept towards the nightstand, ever so slightly. Oh how clever I was! I walked on my toes where the cotton was the thickest, between the old man and his machine, I would never be witnessed. For what seemed like hours, I quietly advanced, my eyes fixated on the green ring and device. For every passing moment, my hate for the machine grew. The only thing that kept me from yelling and losing control was how cunning I was. The old man would wake up, and his machine would be gone! I would cut up its parts and put them in the tub. After they were clean I would roll them in a rug and throw them in the crack in the floor. The crack only I know about! I was INCHES away now, I could hear the hum.
On the brink of success, I felt a strang feeling. Oh yes, I have felt this feeling before, the feeling I wanted to feel nevermore. I froze in spot, as a heard a clatter, from inside the machine, paniced at the matter. I stood there in disbelief! After all my cunning, this machine was going to rat me out. The old man would have to hear this! He shuffled in his bed as the racket grew, I knew I was caught, but I had to finish this through.
As I grabed the device, and lifted it in the air, I had a funny feeling, a feeling of despair. I froze in place, unable to move, as a bright, red ringed spider came into view. There was a faint sense of pain in my lower leg, as this red ringed spider crawled so slowly up it. I stared at it, became light headed, and collapsed. Unable to move, and unable to speak, I was forced to stare at the device, and its taunting green light. Laughing at me in my failure, but failure was not had tonight!
The red ring of death had taken me instead, I would have to bear this device, nevermore.

The EB games I started work at got a huge shipment in of Halo 3. Legendaries and all. They're taking up the entire backroom.
I wish I could be excited for the launch but I have to work it. I'm sure it'll be insane . Oh well, I'll have my copy in the morning on Tuesday.
