Sensual.

So it for sure is out there on the net? That'll make the spoiler dodging harder...

A lot of the major plot points I want resolved will take much more than one or two words to explain so I'm not fearing any major spoilers from this point on.

Cortana Panties... HOT!

How are the graphics in MP?

Could you see yourself playing the MP for months, if not years, to come?

It's closer to Halo 1, because of its focus on VERY open environments.

Edit: I'm up to level 7, but I think I'm going to be out all day, so these Brits might actually finish before me.

Any spoilers in there?
Nope. I won't post anything that has any, and am reading all articles I link to before posting them to be sure.

Related, I'm getting 100% of my Halo news from HBO, which is not posting any spoiler material as a matter of policy.

Like this one: http://www.pro-g.co.uk/news/19-09-2007-6492.html

When contacted by Pro-G a Microsoft rep confirmed rumours that gamers who play Halo 3 early will have their LIVE accounts banned. Simply not connecting to the internet doesn't appear to be a solution either. The rep also confirmed that Microsoft is able to ban accounts based on information collected by the console which shows when the game was played. This news is sure to come as a shock to some gamers who have already started playing the final chapter in the blockbuster Halo trilogy.

This appears to suggest that games who play Halo 3 before the official street date will only avoid a ban if they never access Xbox LIVE. Microsoft is preparing an official statement on the Halo 3 banning scandal. We'll give you more on this breaking news story as we get it.

I'm guessing for online co-op that if you go to play with someone thats farther along in the campaign you can still play right? Gears would let you skip ahead if the host was farther along.

Marines had Eye Pieces. I'd assume they had the smart link there.

Though, the wisdom of a weapon that can't be aimed without electronic assistance seems pretty silly :lol
Sergeant Johnson or Stacker and several marines don't have eye pieces, sone don't even have helmets (though Johnson is probably so badass he doesn't need to aim :P).

And yeah, not having some kind of conventional sights (i.e Iron Sights) doesn't seem like a smart move. I know it's just a game and it's sci-fi, but Bungie has always seemd to have hard science-fiction in the games.

That was posted here earlier but now it has added Ghaleon Bolding™.
Yeah, by and large I'm not reading the thread any longer, just tossing news in. I've read like, five of the past 25 pages or so. So I'm sure some of the stuff I toss in is going to be old. Apologies in advance!

There's a separate option for online coop campaign and single player campaign. I imagine (haven't tried it yet) you can pick any level you've (the host) completed.

Thanks Ghaleon. Wasn't to sure after the past few days. I've already had the ending partly spoiled. And damn to the people not smart enough to remove their HD before playing.

It fells very similar, but in a good way. The first thing I noticed was the auto-aim has been really toned down.

Beautiful. The lighting, especially when you watch the game back in the theater mode is easily the best I've seen. It looks really natural.

I last played Halo 2 on Saturday (after getting it on launch day), I like this a lot more.

I meant when we all get it going forward? I've got 2 TVs and plenty of space round mine- Camberwell near Oval Tube

I could go for that if you don't mind an oldie hanging with you youngsters. Your TV's would need to be huge though... and more controllers required!

They cant ban legal copies due to the fact you brought it fair and square, we never broke and NDA nor agreements, i went to a LEGAL store and brought a LEGAL game.

Ban me and I will see you in small claims court :D

Microsoft can ban you for whatever they want.

That legal store, sold you legal game, which in turn broke their legal contract not to break the street date, which you are connected to because you bought it.

I guess.

I didn't get banned for playing Bioshock early, shit happens, in no way are MS going to so dumb as to ban people for having a legit copy early. Stores are at fault, not customers.

Dunno if this has been asked yet, (I actually went to bed. :O) but does it have the same copy and paste design elements? (that, to a lesser extent, Sacred Icon in Halo 2 also had.) Open enviroments are great so long as they stay fresh and unique in design.

Oh god the wait is killing me. Played some Halo 1 and 2 multiplayer yesterday with 3 buddies, and went through the co-op of 2 again...

My GOD did it suck ass, totally forgot about it. The leveldesign was just awful...but I'm still psyched as hell for 3 though...only a week left :D

Microsoft is wary of watering down "Halo," meaning it would rather walk away from deals for Master Chief pajamas or Covenant sippy cups.

As long as the game rocks, I don't care, but man o man, they crossed that "watering down" line long ago.

Hey, I'm 24, a mature crowd would be preferred to be honest, especially if round mine. 1 32" HDTV and 1 40" CRT. Should be able to get hold of others from other attendees in my building.

I'll say it again. You will not be banned for playing a legal copy of the game that they have already distributed and have even given away to people as a gift to play.

If even 100 people had there console bricked from playing a legal version of the game there would be a shit-storm through the gaming news outlets that even Microsoft wouldn't be able to clean up and potentially piss off the people they may have finally committed to purchase and support them.

In certain areas (the indoor environments, mainly), there is a small bit of copy and paste. You'll be confused for a second thinking you somehow backtracked. :lol

All the outdoor environments, which are the main focus of the game so far, are unique.

I guess that's not that big a deal then. Thanks for the response.

I doubt it will be a perma-ban, but I bet they get a temporary ban on launch day.
I think in the long run, it will help protect future release dates well if it happens.
