From UK Press Release:

Pre orders for “Halo 3” have soared past 1.25 million globally as the world holds its breath and awaits the launch of the title in Europe on September 26th 2007. Microsoft also revealed that production of the game disc itself has reached 81 per second as it gears up for what is expected to be the biggest entertainment launch in history.

Maybe earlier. The game hasn't bee released yet and this thread was dead most of the day due to a fear of spoilers.

i havent played it but i can easily tell its not a map i'll like. looks cool and all but its too plain by the looks of things.

Yesterday scared the crap out of people.
 
So I went to the library I work at to get my check, one of the kids thats always hanging there asked if my shirt was Halo 3. I said "yeah" and he asked if I knew what happened at the end. Christ. I got out fast.

Shit literally got real!

I was just playing Texas Hold 'em on XBLA and someone joined the table and shouted "did you guys see in Halo 3 where......"

The minute he got the "3" part out I dropped the fucking controller like a brick, put my hands to my ears and started shouting random stuff to block out whatever he was saying as it was coming though my speaker. I then ran to my 360 and turned it off with my elbow. I then started to relax and then noticed my heart was racing more than it does after a half hour of exercise.

I am sure if anyone else was in the house at the time and saw me moving around, and shouting with my hands on my head they would have thought I was mad. Hell, I think I am now!

That’s it, no Xbox Live for me till I finish the game. I don’t trust anyone anywhere anymore. I am not even going outside ever again. I still feel GAF is safe though... I know that is what will get me in the end :(
 
It's funny how this is all for not, in a way. When the game is released, it's not like I can visit this thread. Too busy playin' and whatnot.

I stopped playing COD4 beta the instant that the leaked copies pics appeared. ALWAYS asshats who live for this kind of thing.

I'm sending a few people on my msn list who are halo fanatics a video of a "backflipping squirrel".

needless to say, there is no furry mammal doing tricks in the video.

But its all good fun.. they see the title "HALO 3 ENDING!! OMG" and close out of it faster than a prom dress.

*sigh* I still don't understand why people are ignorning suggestions of, uh, NOT using your mic when you play on Xbox Live. Either private chat with someone you trust, or plug in the mic, put mute on, and put the volume setting down until it's off.

That , and/or you can do what Ghaleon did and go to "manage profile" and block voice/text messages from people not on your friends list, or people altogether.
